Latest outage, problems and issue reports in The Gibbers and nearby locations:

  • NigelBill Nigel Mullen (@NigelBill) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia It is not a fault. It is a NBN design issue. If a house is 1.2km in cable length from a Node, can they expect 80mb or more in connection speed. Very simple yes/no answer is all that is required.

  • DrCraigGedye Craig Gedye (@DrCraigGedye) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Internode once again our @NBN_Australia connection is out because it has rained. Please fix the physical connection to our house. It is NOT a problem in our house. It is a problem with your ancient corroded copper network. Please repair immediately.

  • bobbaldwinmp The Hon. Bob Baldwin (@bobbaldwinmp) reported from Port Stephens, State of New South Wales

They should have progressed the original Opal wirless network. 4 & 5g eat all of the NBN solutions Waste of $$

@hef_mark I’ve been running off my phone with no problems while kids doing online classes on NBN - no issues at all 👍

  • adlrope Adam Rope (reality is stranger than fiction) (@adlrope) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Qldaah @Telstra David, if have nbn connection then Telstra only service provider. nbn co own & maintain network. Telstra technical support can investigate but if underlying issue is network, nbn co responsible. If nbn co state 'no fault found', then service provider no power coerce nbn action

  • jack_webbbb Jack Webber (@jack_webbbb) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia how long does it take for an outage to be fixed it’s already been ages and It’s my day off aswell

  • ian_booth Ian Booth (@ian_booth) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

Farrrrrrkk! When Fifield is questioned about the price of #NBN packages the best he can come up with is "they would cost more under Labor". It just rolls off their tongue so easily. "Take longer under Labor ", "cost more under Labor" and they're never questioned. Shits me.

  • fat_lenny Lenny (@fat_lenny) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@DuhigLisa @NBN_Australia @Telstra I actually love having the business run from hone. Been doing it for years and have a dedicated office. Constant issues with the NBN though really hurt and you are powerless to do anything. Into day 2 of no work, about to head to Telstra.

  • pretzelssign hall 🇹🇼 (@pretzelssign) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia that’d be great if every day from 2pm-11pm the wifi wasn’t so unbearably slow that I can’t even load a webpage. I went to South Korea and it really gave a perspective as to how horrifyingly slow NBN is

  • tony4newcastle Tony Brown (@tony4newcastle) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

My Telstra nbn broadband network has been down all day from an alleged cyber attack

  • njubi_eric Njubi Ng’ang’a 🇰🇪 (@njubi_eric) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

I moved into #Telstra 7 days ago and I promise you their nbn is the worst. Speeds of 7 mbps is just unheard of. Piece of advice to anyone planning to join Telstra DON’T

  • zeilstrareinder Reglfr41 (@zeilstrareinder) reported from Port Stephens, State of New South Wales

@carly_solstice Trouble is NBN isn't up to it over our way.

  • phonakins 💜 phonakins 💄 Happy Liptember! 💋 (@phonakins) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia @duolingo Keeps dropping out. I'm on my phone atm to reply to this. Been doing it the last couple of days. No good for browsing or doing Duolingo let alone streaming (either up or down)

  • gjblue Greg Blue (@gjblue) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@JaneCaro @Telstra The whole nbn is a joke, mate who works for them told me ours will never be any good because the copper goes thru a flooded pit at the end of our street.

  • wifidownunder Aaron Scott (@wifidownunder) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

Another 12hr outage from @telstra NBN. This is ridiculous. Maybe at some point I’ll have internet again.

  • NigelBill Nigel Mullen (@NigelBill) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@exetel @chuggins9000 @NBN_Australia Thanks Rehan, but it is not an Exetel problem, all my neighbours have the same problem. NBN Co decided not to deluver high speed internet infrastucture to our Adamstown Heights area.

  • mediahunter Craig Wilson 🚴 ⛵ ⛷️ (@mediahunter) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@ScottRhodie @NBN_Australia I've been getting dropouts when it rains. Can you help?

  • RoyanWg Billy back in the black n broke HALLELUJAH (@RoyanWg) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse Nothing about the shit NBN that the LNP/IPA Government has foisted upon the public instead of the world leading broadband it was supposed to be we are left with the inadequate bastardized system that Malcolm Turnbull/Abbott gave us

  • josundq josund (@josundq) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@factanonverba69 but the second biggest failure was Malcolm’s fibre to the node NBN network

  • lazytraveldays Lazy Travel Days ✈️ ⛴ 🚘 (@lazytraveldays) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@adamajacoby NBN intentionality shit to benefit Murdoch

  • imPikehh Alex (@imPikehh) reported

@xEazey Telstra is the way to go. Never have any issues with them personally since NBN has rolled out (besides landline issues).

  • MichnPete1 Michelle (@MichnPete1) reported

@Telstra sort your bloody NBN internet out - you charge enough - also what’s with the waiting time 45-60 minutes on your phone lines ??? What sort of a first class communications company runs a third world customer service

  • Bron118 Bron1 (@Bron118) reported

@FetchStep @MFWitches had hands on in lots of local areas? or talking about one? Turnbull making a deal isn’t a conspiracy theory. but you go ahead and slander the workers cos the one ? Two? twenty? You “saw” being bad at there job is the reason the nation has the worst NBN in the world

  • bekibanana Rebecca Abdou (@bekibanana) reported

Absolutely sick of @Telstra and @NBN_Australia. It’s been 3 weeks of non stop drop outs, 4 call outs, and no solution. If we get stuck at home again this is so unacceptable.

  • grouponegav Gavin Ryan 🇦🇺 (@grouponegav) reported

@SaintMoe16 @Telstra @nbn Working from home, trying to remote access with WiFi, the modem signal light keeps going from green to orange constantly. I have to keep logging back in. It’s so frustrating, Telstra offer nothing

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@tgracchvs so the issue can be resolved as quickly as possible. When a provider raises a fault with nbn, this gets sent to their technical nbn support team who then works at resolving the issue, while liaising with your provider to pass on any update made available. Thanks, Amy 2/2

  • OZopa Reality (@OZopa) reported

@Tesmanian_com Great news. Had an NBN technician in this morning. He explained how “****” the copper network is. We voted for fibre but Rupert Murdoch had his RW govt vandalize it to give 80% of Australians repurposed 30yr old **** copper telephone wires instead, to protect his cable business.

  • 0leaveitalone0 Chrissy Cruise (@0leaveitalone0) reported

When you tell the NBN tech, the problem is at the node, but they send a tech out to spend 45 mins at your house only to tell you. "looks like the problem is at the node." oh, really? 🧐

  • Agitated_Panda AgitatedPanda (@Agitated_Panda) reported

@NBN_Australia I'm not paying 100 a month to have no internet because you guys can't fix an issue on your system

  • theapathist theapathist (@theapathist) reported

@weezmgk Quick question, with the severe storms and rain you guys get do you ever have NBN issues. We have locker sized boxes every 50 metres for the NBN, every time it rains they short.
