I think I spent about 3.5 hours trying to arrange an NBN service provider change. Success to be determined soon (I hope).

@Richard33878882 @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia It’ll be the NBN network termination device (NTD) that has failed, not his modem/router. There are a variety of these are used on FTTP, FTTC, HFC and fixed wireless installs. NBNCo operates these units inside your property, and only they can service/replace them.

We need to invest in huge nation-building projects; a national grid to support renewables, divestment in fossil-fuel base load, a renewed NBN with speed guarantees and equal access for every Australian, a high-speed rail network to connect Australia’s major centres.

Trying to use the internet at home in Australia sometimes is seriously like you are in a third world country. It is unbelievable how bad the NBN is. And how it has been built in such a way that your ISP can't help you with any internet issues you have.

My internet is out and has been for 38 hrs but apparently my laptop is too new to do the tests on to report it to @NBN_Australia so my ISP can't put a ticket into NBN. So if you are having trouble contacting me this is why.

@CasFarmerCD We were getting 75 down and 20 up on a dual NBN system. But latency around 650 which killed any of our cloud applications.

Telstra charge 100$ a month for my NBN home internet. Cancelled and started using a prepaid dongle with another company. 17$ a month, better speeds, more reliable, better customer service. Bye Telstra.

@Studio26151 I went with Sumo, they gave me a better rate, slightly higher feed in tariff, no $30 monthly fee for no service. They also took over my gas and my NBN and gave me a $15 month discount on my NBN so I’m about $45 a month better off than I was before.

@_markagregory @MRowlandMP @NBN_Australia Question has to be asked why do you need 5000 (highly paid) employees to project-manage contracts?Investments made over the past decade, future proof and scalable broadband network would be in place now.Upgrades should be in place now leading the world in broadband connectivity.

@David_Threlfo Stronach development co has just gained permission to build 186 highrise dwellings on the site of nbn in Mosbri Cresnt. We’ve a birds eye view. it will be nothing but buildings. 60 mature trees cut down. A 3 &1/2 year fight by residents won no concessions to this mess. Blame Ncc
