@NBN_Australia The power has just come back on at about 4.40pm, but no explanation from @westernpowerwa. If the outage had extended much longer as it did in 2012, then we could have lost mobile connectivity and NBN and contents of freezers. Power needed for water pumping, heating. Plans needed.

@mcmda @deniseshrivell I have had satellite Foxtel for ages and haven’t had any issues at all. Makes sense to free up bandwidth for NBN

  • AUChrisRiddell Chris R (@AUChrisRiddell) reported

Just done a fast count around ~94 premises went from supporting Ultrafast to now limited to 100Mbps. Does this mean the #nbn HFC network in the area is struggling to support these faster speeds?

@NBN_Australia @actualfredsmith You knew full well the fixed wireless network was going to become overcrowded for YEARS

@TaodeHaas @nobby15 I've just bought a cheap pre-paid mobile modem to keep me connected while I move house - and the inevitable problems that will arise. It's 50% faster than the NBN!

  • ElsaLeonis Elsa Leonis (@ElsaLeonis) reported

@deniseshrivell put my address in the govt. NBN website - live on a major highway in Tasmania - and the date for it arriving at my place actually says "NEVER"

@deniseshrivell We have cable tv & internet with Telstra in suburban Sydney. They posted a new modem & NBN adapter, self-install, without us asking. Old modem was having speed issues anyway. Installed easily, on medium plan, works perfectly. Must be because it’s cable, I think.

@NBN_Australia There are two levels of NBN in Australia. Ultra-fast to slow in the 'burbs. Absolutely ******* useless in regional Australia. Again regional Australians being treated like third-class citizens. I hate the way NBN talks about fixing it, yet doesn't. I couldn not hate them more.

@deniseshrivell You’d also think that @NBN_Australia would be embarrassed by all the horrible stories, particularly when lined up with all the FTTP positive stories. #policyfailure

@deniseshrivell For weeks had NBN drop out every 10-20 minutes. I’ve got FTTN. Msg Optus, they get NBN tech out, he says copper network was **** to start with. Fixes something in the street. Optus gives me a new modem “just in case” Is it fixed yet? NO!
