  • rimkus_daniel Daniel Rimkus (@rimkus_daniel) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@TimGossage Still amazes me that a hundred million dollar industry like the AFL that has millions bet on results down to the single point and has a score review rule has no specialised equipment to allow the reviews to be accurate. Instead the video looks like a pre NBN YouTube video

  • MeckeringBoy Michael Dowling #ICACNow💉💉💉💉🤗 (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@MegJobson1 If you’re in an FTTN NBN zone you can lose Internet with rain, flood, storm, fire… any power outage because nodes need power to operate. Several years ago, a drunk driver took out my suburb’s Internet access for days. Tech said it couldn’t happen with underground fibre. #auspol

  • webprofusion Christopher Cook (@webprofusion) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@Optus @iheartguitar If you're interested in alternatives @VodafoneAU had been great especially with their 4G backup, so even if NBN goes down the connection still works. Nowadays internet isn't a luxury, it's livelihood and companies need to step up their game to match.

  • MeckeringBoy Michael Dowling #ICACNow #auspol (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@ShiannonC Perhaps it’s that corroding copper NBN Morrison LNP et al built for Rupert. Or technical problems due to the LNP cuts to ABC. Perhaps there is a dog after all. #auspol

  • MeckeringBoy Michael Dowling #ICACNow #auspol (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@eleanorhall1 @abcnews @andrewprobyn Unfortunately our ABC has form. Look back at BS over solar PV & insulation that helps people in perpetuity & had FEWER deaths. ABC wanted to treat Labor’s FTTP & LNP’s FTTN NBN plans as if they were equals. The result? Tens of billions wasted building slow💩copper mess. #auspol

  • dantheinternut Dan van der Meer (@dantheinternut) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

So the time I need my stream the most, it’s failing me. @kayosports has been horrible all day, buffering and / or dropping out completely mid games. Gaming is compromised too. Big time. This has been a consistent since I connected to the nbn 6 years ago. Fibre to the node.

  • djaspen94 Aspen (@djaspen94) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@KKeneally @AlboMP That's funny - a non subtle way of working into your post that "Albo" did actually have a portfolio, even if he did only hold it for 2 months. As far as the NBN goes, anyone can talk a big story, at the end of the day it gets down to money. Where are you getting it from?

  • hewball Brenton Hewitt (@hewball) reported from Perth, State of Western Australia

@decryption i dont have my gpon gear powered on to show you data from the network side, but if any of that isnt correct, nbn could just turn off the port

  • anewdemocracy Make Our Voice Heard (@anewdemocracy) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@Rob7Scott @JennaPrice @7NewsAustralia If only we had a world class NBN to support it properly…

  • neil_daws Neil Daws ⚒🗿🇦🇺⚓🏛☠ (@neil_daws) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@JennaPrice Could we have left the NBN up to private enterprise? Government used to do quite a bit of infrastructure. While I believe government should not be in business, we have had some horrible outcomes of outsourcing to the rest the world to build our govt stuff that hadto be remediated

  • andrewmhenry22 Andrew Henry | yojhi.eth (@andrewmhenry22) reported from Perth, State of Western Australia

@iiNet hi, our nbn is down. Is there an issue?

  • albyrne Allan Byrne (@albyrne) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@Optus nbn down in 6028… has been for hours and judging by other tweets it’s the same in postcodes near me. I have checked your outages page and you claim no service issues in the area, which is clearly incorrect. An update please !

  • joffley James Offer (@joffley) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@axmcc We’ll they are already in charge of the vaccine rollout… I just wanted to know when the Army will fix the NBN

  • SueYeap Sue Yeap (@SueYeap) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@_Just Mine have never had anyone say anything. One I got last week on my work phone was automated claiming to be NBN cutting off a landline I don’t have.

  • The_SSandgroper TheSilentSandgroper (@The_SSandgroper) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@chrisamason @TurnbullMalcolm Actually both models were crap and lacked any vision. It should have been 90% investment into wireless connectivity, then we wouldn't have wasted billions on useless costly infrastructure. My 5G wireless craps all over NBN speeds. The nbn will be a dinosaur in 5yrs. #pentanet

  • LindaDHoward Linda Howard (@LindaDHoward) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@AdamBandt @DiMunnings It’s not just mining, in 2019 the following companies paid 0% tax: NBN Co Ltd Stockland Corp Mirvac Lion Pty Ltd Chevron IBM Aust Ford Au Transurban Holdings GM Holden News Aust Pty Ltd ... and did so legally. Gov needs to stop bitching & fix the system that allows it!

  • GabrielMorenoAU Gabriel Moreno (@GabrielMorenoAU) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@telstra wtf is going on with #nbn in #mountpleasanrwa #6153? paying premium and having shite sporadic service?

  • tonytau101 Tony Ilian (@tonytau101) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@FreoLou @MatthewPassmor8 @FreoPope It's likely that your Internet is delivered over copper (FTTN) or possibly HFC. FTTN - depends how far the premises is from node. Has the problems with poor instalations, pits letting water leak in etc NBN HFC - uses higher frequencies than Telstra = dropouts. TI

  • MeckeringBoy 💧Michael Dowling-Demand renewable covid recovery! (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@wild68223259 @CaraMia200 South Korea’s advantages are not so “hidden”. Rest of world has ever increasing speeds with top speeds 10,000Mbps. Australia is constantly falling down the charts. With huge corroding copper weights around our ankles. Abbott Turnbull Morrison DELIBERATELY sabotaged NBN. #auspol

  • MeckeringBoy 💧Michael Dowling-Demand renewable covid recovery! (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@markmorey5 I get around 50Mbps but STILL have buffering issues EVERY day. And I’m with Telstra. Australia is a joke. Why do we always get third rate infrastructure and crap services? Labor build to gold standard. LNP sabotage everything... From Medicare to NBN NDIS CSIRO ABC. #auspol

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
  • AmandaValentina Amanda Valentina💋™💉💉➕💉 (@AmandaValentina) reported

@its_Aidos1 Honestly, when I was dealing with TPG during 12/21-3/22 I had the same issues over and over. I took out two accounts; one for home and the other, my investment property. Both modems did not work and 10000 phone calls later on top of NBN no-showing 3 times, I went elsewhere.

  • mblueaudog Mark B (@mblueaudog) reported

@RoadknightThe My optus nbn modem died and after a few chats was sent a new upgraded one at no cost plus $25 credit and 25gb on my mobile for the inconvenience. Very happy with their service.

  • rightwingpeter peter (@rightwingpeter) reported

@RoadknightThe Mate , log on to Telstra website , there is a complaint portal , fill that out , complain , say you have a sick person there & trust me they will get back to you really quickly , you may even speak to an Australian ! Are you on the NBN ? need to know

  • MissDissentEats Jackie McMillan 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ (@MissDissentEats) reported

Another day, another @NBN_Australia outage in the Inner West. Really sick of unreliable internet. #LNPfail

  • ThomasHNguyen Thomas Nguyen (@ThomasHNguyen) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Did anyone’s @TPG_Telecom’s NBN ago down in Potts Point / Rushcutters Bay / 2011?

  • singaporedavid1 David (@singaporedavid1) reported

@RoadknightThe Starlink is available in Victoria. The NBN was a dead technology destined to fail before it was even finished just as Tony Abbott predicted but was mocked for.

  • 1nfect3d 🦂jack thursby (@1nfect3d) reported

@RoadknightThe Put your address in on a couple of providers sites and see if any other nbn technology is available in your area. Strangely enough my neighbour has hfc optus and its bad but i have hfc telstra and its great.

  • djuwannamann Ben Dover (@djuwannamann) reported

@RoadknightThe They're lacking bandwidth I'd say. Typical problem across Aus on NBN

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported

@Matt_Tulk Drop outs of the NBN service will rarely be the RSP. You may just be lucky there. Which POI are you on? Possible they have a contention issue (their published graphs would help isolate this) or a backhaul glitch (but that's unlikely to affect a small number of customers).

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported

@Matt_Tulk I already have a business plan (for the substantially better SLA on NBN fixing **** when it breaks) and that's not actually that expensive over a retail plan. Enterprise plans (required for free fibre build) though are much more expensive (and require long term commitment).
