Jays (@Jays200) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@EVTimOZ Perhaps yours is not the best analogy. I have a sub rate FTTN @NBN_Australia service and I don't get a discount for having 480 vids instead of 4K. On the other hand, I'd happily accept financial compensation for changing my energy usage patterns a.k.a demand response.
-

-
Christopher Cook (@webprofusion) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@Optus @iheartguitar If you're interested in alternatives @VodafoneAU had been great especially with their 4G backup, so even if NBN goes down the connection still works. Nowadays internet isn't a luxury, it's livelihood and companies need to step up their game to match.
-
Kat-atonic Moore or less (@katx01) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@J_MC_R @7NewsPerth @ScottMorrisonMP Start with the areas with the worst service would be beneficial. Michael Dowling #ICACisComing Labor Wins! (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@Henjam48 A lot of people leave Turnbull out of the **** leadership commentary when looking at the past 9+ years of LNP chaos, waste & dysfunction. However he was instrumental in many of the worst decisions including sabotaging FTTP NBN. I give him no free pass. #auspol $Billions wasted.
-
DJ Alpha-T #BLM (@DJ_AlphaT) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@Qldaah Bullshit. Either this is pure incompetence or an indictment on the poor quality of the #LNP's sabotaged NBN.
-

Patricia Rutherford (@TrishKurralinga) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@MeckeringBoy One of #Abbott #Turnbull's monumental stuff-ups. They should be personally held liable for #NBN disaster. Any #Telstra technician could have told them (& probably did) a lot of the copper was stuffed & no-one to fix it. #Lnp wreckers. #FibreToNodeFraud @TaodeHaas @billshortenmp
-

NBN Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Tim (@ttmoari) reported@SydneyCityTV Those horrendous pins are still being worn. WIN News’ product is piss poor compared to NBN News. But the latter will probably become rubbish in time.
-
Mark A (@MarkA5859) reportedI really am angry the LNP rooted the NBN. Now I have to seriously consider Musk’s Starlink for my Internet especially since both Telstra & Optus have & are having issues.
-
Wil Burston (@wilburston) reported@OMGTheMess Twice the ALP voted down Howard with forward looking telecoms infrastructure 1. Mid 80’s when universal ISDN connections were proposed, aka digital telephony 2. Early 2000’s national CDMA network covering 99% of the landmass for IOT devices Then we were mandated the NBN…

-
anthony, underclass prole cat, edwards (@anthony45052793) reported@MichaelRuyg i had to get starlink service for power outages to maintain some ability to contact emergency services if needed. i have backup power. mad not to in a bushfire and flood prone area, sadly nbn co, optus, vodafone and telstra are clearly incompetent.
-
captaincook 🇦🇺 e/acc (@a_captaincook) reported@fathamburger @balajis @anwaribrahim Lol, ya NBN is ****, I moved off to Starlink myselves, agree on most counts actually. But why keep Aussies out? allow those who want to also move in. The point of SEZ would be that it would be a siloed regime that is more tax friendly.
-
Chris Aitchison (@ChrisAitchiso14) reported@craigkellyAFEE i actually thought it would of been way more than that, not that i like the bloke but for once his budget hasn't blown to to NBN porportions. I'm trying to get the AI to work out how many Starlink Service Networks to cover Australia. The slowest speed availiable 100Mbps, $75, UNLIMITED. To basically run a fishing line size string from a pit to the home, bolt on 2 Boxes, connect the fishing wire and bobs your uncle.. So if the Blowout was 10 or 14 Billion on a fishing wire size cable, can you image the shitshow it will be on the blowout to run all the transmission for their NOT so green energy. Lets hope we don't have to look at their muppet heads in a ocuple of yearsd, bloodty trainwrecks they are
-
Gregory J O'Flaherty 💧💦 (@schitzoziris) reportedI rearranged my furniture like I said I might. Crashed my NBN doing it and now it will not connect. Spent the last hour on the providers help text… the backup 4G SIM WiFi Connection isn’t working either… the technician is coming later this week … The flat is more cluttered and I should have left it like it was… That filled the day anyway. I needed the exercise… I can’t sleep ..
-
Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported@pigways @Batman2242 What? Fttn was cheap to install but severely limits revenue and has a massive maintenance costs which means it can never make a return on the investment. It's why #nbn convinced LNP to provide additional funding and begin the free upgrade to fttp.
