@MeckeringBoy @TelstraAU Sounds like FTTC (fibre to the curb). Your copper run should be no more than 120m from the premises. You're looking for the pit on the footpath out the front or across the street. When you run your address on the NBN website it'll tell down bottom RHS. TI

@Telstra you have the WORST customer service!! Trying to get a status on my new NBN connection has been impossible to get. I am still clueless as to what is happening!!

  • BigV2011WCE
Victor Yong (@BigV2011WCE) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Dropouts began on 25/10 while recording a Europa League match then occurs at random times of the day. What is the best solution to prevent NBN dropouts. Modem is Optus-supplied

  • annsippe
Ann Sippe (@annsippe) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@gabriellechan @mpbowers The resistance to Labor confounds me. The vitriol Tony Windsor suffered because he sided with Labor was ridiculous in the extreme. NBN, school funding and climate change were issues deeply affecting the rural sector.

  • djaspen94
Aspen (@djaspen94) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@KKeneally @AlboMP That's funny - a non subtle way of working into your post that "Albo" did actually have a portfolio, even if he did only hold it for 2 months. As far as the NBN goes, anyone can talk a big story, at the end of the day it gets down to money. Where are you getting it from?

  • WazT555
Wazza (@WazT555) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Fkn lol! They’re going to “upgrade” the fail nbn & make it more like what it shoulda been originally! Like if we had Labour in govt... Maybe, we’ll actually get decent internet?! Not going to hold mah breath though.

  • tonytau101
Tony Ilian (@tonytau101) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@theresamanahan1 @PaulFletcherMP @NBN_Australia I recommend a replacement of all of the old copper & junk the HFC while they're at it. NBN has already rolled fibre to the nodes. (Green cabinets) The only section of the network left to do is the 'last mile' out to the premises. TI

  • DJ_AlphaT
DJ Alpha-T #BLM (@DJ_AlphaT) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@oldmanranting @abcnews Absolutely. Either that or it's an indictment of the poor quality of our NBN.

  • BigV2011WCE
Victor Yong (@BigV2011WCE) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

How can I sue NBN for providing a shocking service

  • TrishKurralinga
Patricia Rutherford (@TrishKurralinga) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@rubin_angela @raywilton4 Everyone calling from NBN seems to be a liar & potential rorting thief. Never turn your computer on for lying telemarketers.

  • mobeginomics
Dr. Fredrick Mobegi (@mobeginomics) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@NBN_Australia I've tried most troubleshooting steps in vain. This is not just a speed fluctuation issue. Something is wrong with our connection. Worse even, I can't reach the Belong guys for support. Quite frustrating when my everyday work and meetings depend on good internet connection.

  • jaredlarrysfeet
Jared (@jaredlarrysfeet) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@iiNet Yes and your follow up team told me it was an issue with the router despite it clearly being an issue with the NBN box and I was once again forced to spend 20 minutes going through tests that were already done last night. So you've successfully wasted both my time and your own.

  • HelenErrington1
Helen Errington (@HelenErrington1) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@AndrewLamingMP What utter bullshit you liar. Turnbull ruined it. Who are you trying to kid. God I can't wait until you are all in oblivion. It won't be long. We had a rolled gold NBN and the rwnj's turned it in to a god awful mess.

  • jaredlarrysfeet
Jared (@jaredlarrysfeet) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@iiNet My internet is down and I am supposed to be having a technician come out today to check my NBN connection device. I was wondering if you have an ETA as I will need to go to work eventually. Task number: 339808030. Thanks.

  • katx01
Kat-atonic Moore or less (@katx01) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@J_MC_R @7NewsPerth @ScottMorrisonMP Start with the areas with the worst service would be beneficial. I agree that this should all have been done already. NBN aside this government have had 4 months warning to strategise and prepare yet have done absolutely nothing but rorts and holidays.

  • The_SSandgroper
TheSilentSandgroper (@The_SSandgroper) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@chrisamason @TurnbullMalcolm Actually both models were crap and lacked any vision. It should have been 90% investment into wireless connectivity, then we wouldn't have wasted billions on useless costly infrastructure. My 5G wireless craps all over NBN speeds. The nbn will be a dinosaur in 5yrs. #pentanet

  • Novarak
Tom | Novarak (@Novarak) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Holy **** my work can get NBN now, the days of uploading data off our phones using 4G ARE OVER

  • TrishKurralinga
Patricia Rutherford (@TrishKurralinga) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@MeckeringBoy One of #Abbott #Turnbull's monumental stuff-ups. They should be personally held liable for #NBN disaster. Any #Telstra technician could have told them (& probably did) a lot of the copper was stuffed & no-one to fix it. #Lnp wreckers. #FibreToNodeFraud @TaodeHaas @billshortenmp

  • cory_gale
Cory Gale 🦘🇦🇺 (@cory_gale) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Retrogina I use OVO for my internet and it’s great. $65 a month for 100GB. They use Optus. Can cancel it at any time... which I will do when NBN becomes available in May 😊

  • BobPinder
Bob Pinder (@BobPinder) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@simonahac @NBN_Australia @Telstra Definitely not. I’ve had to get the TIO involved to release me. Sick and tired of their continuous blunders especially with billing. How good is it that you can’t talk to anyone and all other comms don’t work? Nice reviews of the app 😱 unbelievably crap

  • BamBam0667
    BamBam 🇦🇺 🐕 (@BamBam0667) reported

@EnergyWrapAU As much as I dislike Turdbull, you'd have to give him small credit for curtailing the NBN blowout that would have been. ALL 3 of these had the exact same problem. Contractors, with little Govt oversight, rorting the system for their own gain. Public servants writing 💩 contracts

  • AIproject6
My handle was funnier when it was less believable. (@AIproject6) reported

@wilburston @robb_j_m I highly doubt any satellite service is better than NBN unless you're literally not in the coverage area.

  • eevblog
    Dave Jones (@eevblog) reported

Now tweeting from my lab machine again with very basic Optus 5G internet. Will have to upload video and stuff from home, but otherwise I'm kinda functional again. No idea when NBN/Telstra will restore the connection, it's been 3 days already so I assume it's very bad. Today is Sunday and tomorrow is another public holiday.

  • CarmelFay
    Carmel Fay (@CarmelFay) reported

@robb_j_m Starlink. A satellite connection through the NBN in our rural area was a bit of a nightmare. Starlink is reliable, no limits on usage, and we never get throttled. I'll never go back.

  • Bulldogs5711
    Bulldogs57 (@Bulldogs5711) reported

@MarkoMatvikov How ? Debt is down They are fixing NDIS Inland rail NBN Robodebt Not sure what you want to do about Snowy & AUKUS. And $1.2 T debt won’t disappear. It’s inherited. LNP / ON are calling to increase defence.

  • econoadabsurdam
    Econo ad absurdam (@econoadabsurdam) reported

When the ALP talks up something like the NDIS or the NBN and says that it will help increase productivity, what do you think they mean

  • Stoxxie
    David Lee (@Stoxxie) reported

@Liberty_Itch @DavidLeyonhjelm This is an incredibly poor editorial on the NBN. A waste of my time in reading it

  • JarOfSteve
    Steve (@JarOfSteve) reported

@algorithmsayshi Tried clearing app cache ? Could be using CGNAT as well. Getting a static IP from ISP could fix the issue. Also, you could try turning off the NBN box for twenty minutes to see if you can pick up a new IP that's not flagged.

  • shanihashmi
    Hasaan (@shanihashmi) reported

@sharmilafaruqi Pakistan should seriously consider an expanded National Broadband Network (NBN) style rollout similar to Australia’s model. A nationally coordinated fiber backbone could reduce duplication, improve rural connectivity, lower long-term infrastructure costs, and ensure faster, more equal internet access across the country.Private ISPs can still compete at the retail level, but broadband infrastructure itself should be treated as a long-term national strategic investment. At the same time, Starlink licensing should move quickly through the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. To capture the market, Starlink will likely introduce pricing that is affordable for ordinary people, especially in underserved and remote areas.
