@eleanorhall1 @abcnews @andrewprobyn Unfortunately our ABC has form. Look back at BS over solar PV & insulation that helps people in perpetuity & had FEWER deaths. ABC wanted to treat Labor’s FTTP & LNP’s FTTN NBN plans as if they were equals. The result? Tens of billions wasted building slow💩copper mess. #auspol

@Retrogina I use OVO for my internet and it’s great. $65 a month for 100GB. They use Optus. Can cancel it at any time... which I will do when NBN becomes available in May 😊

  • saintxis
I'm Lexo (@saintxis) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@VodafoneAU seriously what's wrong with your NBN speed! I meant to have 100mbs and I'm getting 45mbs, trying to watch TV and it's impossible cause keeps stopping, loading and crap quality, I never experienced this with @Telstra being honest 😒😒😒😒😒😒

  • TyrieLinda
Linda Tyrie (@TyrieLinda) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Ian__P @ellaNbuckland @Centrelink I don't think people ever forget being poor and having to go to a place like Centrelink. Also, their website crashed yesterday with only an extra 90,000 people trying to log on. Our NBN isn't fit for pandemic purpose.

@NBN_Australia Thanks for the reply NBN ... I was beginning to think it was your nbn was so slow @Telstra hadn't received my tweet But I guess their busy with their customers Thanks anyway @NBN_Australia

💧Michael Dowling-Demand renewable covid recovery! (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@wild68223259 @CaraMia200 South Korea’s advantages are not so “hidden”. Rest of world has ever increasing speeds with top speeds 10,000Mbps. Australia is constantly falling down the charts. With huge corroding copper weights around our ankles. Abbott Turnbull Morrison DELIBERATELY sabotaged NBN. #auspol

  • sand_shifter
Fat Ham (@sand_shifter) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@ringsau I hope it’s not as slow as the NBN rollout

  • annsippe
Ann Sippe (@annsippe) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@gabriellechan @mpbowers The resistance to Labor confounds me. The vitriol Tony Windsor suffered because he sided with Labor was ridiculous in the extreme. NBN, school funding and climate change were issues deeply affecting the rural sector.

  • BenAylett
BenAylett.com (@BenAylett) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@NBN_Australia has realised a line has been crossed and is trying pretend it never happened. Remember that this cancerous "organisation" will up for sale soon to the highest bidder looking incorporate a toxic culture that operates with impunity.

Dentist is 2km away from my home & the line is 💩. Shocking that our telecommunications have been so badly compromised by this LNP IPA Fail. How is it that treasonous sabotage by LNP goes unremarked by most in media? They destroyed our world class fibre network! #auspol #nbn

  • BigV2011WCE
Victor Yong (@BigV2011WCE) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@AndyB_Aussiered How do I get Optus Sport via satellite in a metropolitan area. I’m looking at the service now. The TIO said there is no alternatives to NBN here in my premises and I’m not happy when I heard this news

  • tappo66
bradT (@tappo66) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra @NBN_Australia had enough putting complaint thru to Ombudsman…

  • charlessultana
Charles Sultana (@charlessultana) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@bcurrall80 I know @Telstra gets a bad rap, but I recently jumped from iiNet. Same plan but for extra $10/month get a 4G SIM modem incase NBN goes down. Handy for alarm/cameras etc

  • TrishKurralinga
Patricia Rutherford (@TrishKurralinga) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@ChrisOgilvieSnr Oh buggar me dead! Like we didn't know the old Telstra copper was making the #NBN slow!! #FTTN! @MeckeringBoy

  • ImisiBamiro
Imisi Bamiro (@ImisiBamiro) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@seynx It just got better sha, last year it was around that realm of 5mb then they introduced NBN which made it up to that speed. Ah in Naija I was getting up to 10 sha, well I was staying in the same area of that network so I guess I was lucky. Well you're right sha.

  • neil_daws
Neil Daws ⚒🗿🇦🇺⚓🏛☠ (@neil_daws) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@JennaPrice Could we have left the NBN up to private enterprise? Government used to do quite a bit of infrastructure. While I believe government should not be in business, we have had some horrible outcomes of outsourcing to the rest the world to build our govt stuff that hadto be remediated

  • BlackXanthas
Bradley Winn (@BlackXanthas) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@MGliksmanMDPhD @Telstra @NBN_Australia Dunno, they can barely handle the mobile network....

  • BigV2011WCE
Victor Yong (@BigV2011WCE) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

My NBN has been switched over from ADSL2+ on 23/10 after a botched installation on 21/10 in which they used an old Foxtel cable outlet in my lounge room (moved to Satellite back in March). Good service for first two days before the dropouts began

  • lettermania
luke halden (@lettermania) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra when it has been over a week that elderly customers can't get online or have a home phone #nbn but support tells them to do the same thing and expect different results #insanity

  • MeckeringBoy
💧Michael Dowling-Demand renewable covid recovery! (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@markmorey5 I get around 50Mbps but STILL have buffering issues EVERY day. And I’m with Telstra. Australia is a joke. Why do we always get third rate infrastructure and crap services? Labor build to gold standard. LNP sabotage everything... From Medicare to NBN NDIS CSIRO ABC. #auspol

anthony, underclass prole cat, edwards (@anthony45052793) reported

@LooksDodgy @robb_j_m was on nbn fixed wireless, got tired of the outages and billing issues with my ISP, shifted to starlink. faster, far less outages and almost identical price. as a bonus starlink bills once per month, former isp billed every 28 days. that's nearly $100 a year less.

  • cwgardiner
    Craig Gardiner (@cwgardiner) reported

@telstra reception in Vermont South (near Sewart close) is crap. I logged a call (INC 40508228) as a @Telstra Gold member 6 months ago, today they told me it was fixed. It ain’t fixed. Still no 4G/5G and I’m paying for 4G backup on my NBN modem. This is beyond a joke.

  • CarmelFay
    Carmel Fay (@CarmelFay) reported

@robb_j_m Starlink. A satellite connection through the NBN in our rural area was a bit of a nightmare. Starlink is reliable, no limits on usage, and we never get throttled. I'll never go back.

  • TerryCorby57986
    Terry Corby (@TerryCorby57986) reported

@DaveMcG67 @Ausbobsmit @lauren_vasiliou Like Snowy 2 you mean started by LNP at a cost of $2B now estimated at $42B an LNP project or the NBN which cost us $110B more under Abbott& Turnbull for a far inferior service.Neither the right or left r great project managers.

  • robb_j_m
💥Dr Robb 🎓Social conscience? Follow me. No MAGA (@robb_j_m) reported

To my Aussie friends: Wasn't the idea behind the NBN (National Broadband Network) to ensure that everyone had inexpensive access to the internet? What happened? How much are you paying for internet access?

  • DresserC33944
    Sharon Dresser (@DresserC33944) reported

@dpoddolphinpro @Amazonleo @Starlink but ryan starlink is actually useable across most of the globe, leo isnt...and its latency is so slow is only good for wathcing the NSF streams , yeah its still faster than the NBN here in Australia with our crappy fibre to the node than four core coppeer to the home,

  • TheBlackWallaby
    Lucas | 🇦🇺 (@TheBlackWallaby) reported

@australian Even Tesla is made in China, so what is the actual issue here? This was sent from my Mac Mini, made in China, sitting on a desk made in China, connected to the NBN through a Wi-Fi gateway made in China, typed from my Logitech keyboard, made in China, while I sit in an office chair made in China, looking at a Samsung monitor made in, checks notes, Vietnam. At some point the argument has to get more precise than “China bad.” If the concern is connected vehicles, telemetry, firmware access, data storage, or fleet security for MPs, then make that argument properly and apply it consistently across all networked devices. But pretending Chinese EVs are uniquely suspicious while half the modern office supply chain is already Chinese-made is not analysis. My iPhone (made in China) is connected to my Apple Auto - driving me around tracking me on a GPS map, with a microphone that works, and the Head Unit (made in China) Where does it end?

  • BaronPhilbert
    Philip Wall (@BaronPhilbert) reported

Recommendations for new NBN service, please? After 25 years, @Optus feels it's more important to reward new customers than existing ones. Anyone had experience with @Aussie_BB or @Kogan ?

  • BrowntownBrew
    Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported

@WaveTheoryUK @robb_j_m Hopefully your area will be enabled for the free fibre upgrade and you'll actually get the proper nbn rather than the crap LNP rolled out.

  • CatManSturty
    Stuart the Catman (@CatManSturty) reported

@algorithmsayshi Seems to be a common issue with the NBA league pass and NBN providers sadly.
