Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Kwinana and nearby locations:
-
💧Don Smith (@1dieseldon) reported from Westfield, Western AustraliaSo poor quality NBN complemented by inferior modems great 🙄 what chance for a decent functional service
-
🇺🇦🌿Mike Dowling- Climate Action NOW! (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@JfkWhitlam True the others in LNP crime family are/were worse than Turnbull. But to suggest that he was a good pm is a bridge too far for me. He too did a lot of damage including deadly Robodebt and NBN sabotage.
-
Paul-Alain Hunt (@Paul_VLH) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@markhumphries So my place was connected to NBN. Then they renovated and cut through the connection. Took them EIGHT months to reconnect it and at first they refused to pay the $700. Renting sucks.
-
Christopher Cook (@webprofusion) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@Optus @iheartguitar If you're interested in alternatives @VodafoneAU had been great especially with their 4G backup, so even if NBN goes down the connection still works. Nowadays internet isn't a luxury, it's livelihood and companies need to step up their game to match.
-
Christopher Cook (@webprofusion) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@JakeGinnivan @NBN_Australia Vodafone NBN is quite good - it has 4G backup that comes on automatically (so then it's their problem and not really yours). Costs the same as other NBN packages.
-
Allan Byrne (@albyrne) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@Optus nbn down in 6028… has been for hours and judging by other tweets it’s the same in postcodes near me. I have checked your outages page and you claim no service issues in the area, which is clearly incorrect. An update please !
-
Peter Davidson 🇦🇺 (@petedavo_au) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@NewtonMark I'd wager that the Telstra Gen 2 smart modem is probably the direct cause of network congestion. Nice touch though to hide NBN disconnections with a fallover to 4G
-
Kat-atonic Moore or less (@katx01) reported from Westfield, Western AustraliaThis is the REAL reason Morrison keeps twaddling on about kids missing a year of school. Even today the DET connect online learning server is stalling and lagging constantly. Fix the nbn and shut the schools.
-
Gerry Gannon 💧 (@GerryGannon) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@AusIndiMedia @phbarratt .@TurnbullMalcolm was a fan of the Conroy devised @NBN_Australia but @TonyAbbott ordered him to destroy it and today you have a piss poor imitation of the original. Thanks, Abbott
-
Tony Ilian (@tonytau101) reported from Westfield, Western AustraliaAre you a @Telstra @NBN_Australia customer. We've been having connectivity issues overnight. It seems that the Telstra / Big Pond DNS has crashed. I've just modded my Wife's phone & @Foxtel STU to use the @Google DNS 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 = Hey Presto problem solved. TI
-
Jared (@jaredlarrysfeet) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@iiNet My internet is down and I am supposed to be having a technician come out today to check my NBN connection device. I was wondering if you have an ETA as I will need to go to work eventually. Task number: 339808030. Thanks.
-
Charles Sultana (@charlessultana) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@bcurrall80 I know @Telstra gets a bad rap, but I recently jumped from iiNet. Same plan but for extra $10/month get a 4G SIM modem incase NBN goes down. Handy for alarm/cameras etc
-
Tony Ilian (@tonytau101) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@theresamanahan1 @PaulFletcherMP @NBN_Australia I recommend a replacement of all of the old copper & junk the HFC while they're at it. NBN has already rolled fibre to the nodes. (Green cabinets) The only section of the network left to do is the 'last mile' out to the premises. TI
-
Michael Dowling #ICACNow💉💉💉💉🤗 (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@MegJobson1 If you’re in an FTTN NBN zone you can lose Internet with rain, flood, storm, fire… any power outage because nodes need power to operate. Several years ago, a drunk driver took out my suburb’s Internet access for days. Tech said it couldn’t happen with underground fibre. #auspol
-
Sue Yeap (@SueYeap) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@_Just Mine have never had anyone say anything. One I got last week on my work phone was automated claiming to be NBN cutting off a landline I don’t have.
-
Linda Tyrie (@TyrieLinda) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@Huw_Merlin @dottigee Ive been getting calls from a woman with a voice like a cadaver who says she's Nicole from the NBN network and I'm about to be cut off.
-
Neil Daws ⚒🗿🇦🇺⚓🏛☠ (@neil_daws) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@JennaPrice Could we have left the NBN up to private enterprise? Government used to do quite a bit of infrastructure. While I believe government should not be in business, we have had some horrible outcomes of outsourcing to the rest the world to build our govt stuff that hadto be remediated
-
TheSilentSandgroper (@The_SSandgroper) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@chrisamason @TurnbullMalcolm Actually both models were crap and lacked any vision. It should have been 90% investment into wireless connectivity, then we wouldn't have wasted billions on useless costly infrastructure. My 5G wireless craps all over NBN speeds. The nbn will be a dinosaur in 5yrs. #pentanet
-
Victor Yong (@BigV2011WCE) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@AndyB_Aussiered having problems with my 50/20 HFC NBN since I connected it on Optus. What’s the alternative to NBN I can use in my area (6149).
-
Gabriel Moreno (@GabrielMorenoAU) reported from Westfield, Western Australia@telstra wtf is going on with #nbn in #mountpleasanrwa #6153? paying premium and having shite sporadic service?

-
Panda 🐼 Build 🔨 love 💖💖 (@Panda_BuildLove) reported@fictillius @markc01 I doubt it would ever happen, but what would happen if the government stopped funding NBN and began to give out massive subsidies to Starlink to help them upgrade their infrastructure to handle the population?
-
Julian (@captainjujubean) reported@Borindas_Lament @pikey14 Like the NDIS or the NBN or Snowy were "costed"? They seem to be the only party talking about actually reducing spending, fraud and waste. Like all parties they will over promise and under deliver but at least they are raising these things as actual issues
-
Con Nikitas (@con_nikitas) reported@Telstra NBN it’s seen like this for 6 days I need to be able to work customers rely me as they rely on your pathetic service
-
Sourav Kumar (@souravkr) reportedHey @Optus it’s been 4 business days but my incident INC4293284 is yet to be resolved. This is impacting my work. I can’t survive with the 4G speed for all the official work. Can you get it resolved urgently and enable my NBN connection? Really bad customer experience.

-
Vic (@ImVicLoLagain) reported@mrru5s3ll @LCHF_Matt @pikkkkaro this is the only decent explanation for what he said that could make sense. the only other way is if his NBN is unstable. because if you have a gigabit connection you need a router capable of it and they all have fine wifi by aus standards , which I would argue is **** but w/e
-
Geo (@ADVwithG) reported@optus_help i needed some support with nbn?
-
Mike Ellsmore (@MGAroadster) reported@NBN_Australia my nbn is not working.
-
Kit (@KitCarnage) reportedA little make up stream before the planned NBN outage? What could go wrong?
-
Miles (@Michael1953_202) reported@Telstra New NBN, wanted Foxtel, bought Fetch. But Fetch can’t get Foxtel, can’t cancel, no refund no return, throw the Fetch box in the bin, or they said “they would recycle it responsibly”. Now I want some real science, an energy balance not virtue signalling .
