We need to invest in huge nation-building projects; a national grid to support renewables, divestment in fossil-fuel base load, a renewed NBN with speed guarantees and equal access for every Australian, a high-speed rail network to connect Australia’s major centres.

@Richard33878882 @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia It’ll be the NBN network termination device (NTD) that has failed, not his modem/router. There are a variety of these are used on FTTP, FTTC, HFC and fixed wireless installs. NBNCo operates these units inside your property, and only they can service/replace them.

@LoFlyt @BMW_Borger @Speedtest We’re in an estate that uses Opticomm which is a privately owned fibre network. God knows why they’ve allowed private fibre networks after rolling out the NBN.

Basically the only reason there wasn't a problem til then was I hadn't had to call them about anything particularly involved since the purchase. Was still the same staff I'd dealt with for the 10 years prior

@DanielAndrewsMP Make the 5G joke? Joke? I'll have you know my shiny new 5G antenna is no joke, and tucks under a cap nicely. Plus my signal is so much better than the neighbour's NBN.

@Optus NBN down all day in Elsternwick. Seriously. No suggestion of when it will be up. With school from home and work from home. Trying to hotspot to get through. This is ridiculous.

Sneaky peaky @VodafoneAU - release new NBN plans with REDUCED upload speeds (down from 40Mbps to 25Mbps). In a time when I have 3-4 people on study/work from home I cannot have a reduced upload limit like that. NOT. COOL.
