I thought you are an essential service?! Also, the technician needs to check out the lines and wiring, etc. and they have no contact with a person. why can’t they work?

He tried to help but finally concluded that the most speed I can get here is 17mbps! because we are 1 km away from the node. I need to find an altenrantive for NBN. It should not be this low next to a main street. #nbndisaster

We usually get about 175. To answer your question a comparable plan in Malaysia is about 55 Aussie dollars so it doesn’t quite compare

And Optus did not help when NBN tech disconnected me, by mistake, as their record were not accurate, so they cut me. For it sorted in 3 days, but no apology from NBN for their error no follow up.

If you want to go elsewhere in under 12 months you have to pay for the hardware, around $500 I think. Having said that, the service is ok.

I am here for 30+ years and seen so many Americans who moved to Israel without any aid from any group (before NBN) who due to finances were forced to leave after learning the language, building businesses, having kids, etc. NBN wouldn't help any of them!
