  • dansheps_ MurfasaurusRex (@dansheps_) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@iiNet Its too late its all ready with the TIO. Your support team failed to provide adequate support and at times ignored my requests and constantly spoke over me. I guess happens when you cut costs and move support overseas that have no idea about Australian consumer law. Damage done.

  • dansheps_ MurfasaurusRex (@dansheps_) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@iiNet Yup already spoken to them and there response tbh is not acceptable at this stage. For your interest here is the invoice that caused this problem. 695673371 you might find this a rather interesting case. This is just the start of the exposure of the illegal billing practices.

  • Mcali4 liz franklin (@Mcali4) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

    @_bohemiaheart @slpng_giants_oz @iiNet @flightcentreAU @myer @JetstarAirways @ladbrokescomau I'll have a ritual burning of my myercard. Never used it much anyway.

  • blake_andersson BlakeGreen118 (@blake_andersson) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@timothy_89 @lukeacl @iiNet Lifx uses direct wifi only, the Hue bulbs use a mesh network

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • TheRiffJet Riff Jet (@TheRiffJet) reported

@Mezanong @TubbsJTattsyrup @iiNet They give the run around, blame you, tell you it’s the 30 knot wind coming in off Bass Straight. Iinet customers are stupid according to iinet.

  • situasiansays Aj (@situasiansays) reported

@iiNet have you guys been having outages or issues with NBN all day in 3031? My NBN has been dropping out all day

  • andrewhiggo Andrew Higginson (@andrewhiggo) reported

@TheRiffJet @iiNet @NBN_Australia Yeah, the interactions between iinet and NBN appear strained. NBN treat them like Telstra (mostly) treats it’s customers

  • miriamcosic Miriam Cosic (@miriamcosic) reported

I'll never forget when I had a couple of days to get to NY for a quick-turnaround job and was utterly shocked when I got there and had no access to my telephone. I see nothing's changed. And we've been a globalised world for some time now... @iinet

  • TubbsJTattsyrup Tubbs Tattsyrup (@TubbsJTattsyrup) reported

@iiNet For all of Qantas’ faults, they solved my refund issue in a 30-minute phone call. 5 hours later, they’ve followed up with an email detailing what was done. Meanwhile, @iiNet is STILL leaving us hanging. 17 days & counting. Do yourself a favour. Don’t sign up with them!!

  • Paul_Nayda Paul Nayda (@Paul_Nayda) reported

@iinet @TPG_Telecom wtf have you done to your business. It used to be excellent, but your provisioning experience is truly awful. Hours on the phone, useless support staff, messed up billing systems. Still no internet.

  • andrewhiggo Andrew Higginson (@andrewhiggo) reported

@TheRiffJet @iiNet I’ve found iinet ok over time. I’ve found Speed issues are usually an NBN problem (which iinet has no control over) or your modem.

  • TheRiffJet Riff Jet (@TheRiffJet) reported

Seriously @iiNet How can I understand an overseas call center?? How is this efficient customer service? I would suggest you have a manger from Australia give me a call.

  • browndogstales Jake Brown (@browndogstales) reported

@miriamcosic @iiNet Sounds more like an iiNet issue than Optus. I haven't heard anything about Optus closing. iiNet was bought by dodo (I think) some time back & has gone downhill since. We moved to Belong (budget Telstra subsidiary) & it's worked well. Very easy to port across.

  • browndogstales Jake Brown (@browndogstales) reported

@miriamcosic @iiNet Biggest drawback is tech support. I've needed it much more rarely than when I was on iiNet, but it's a 'submit an online form & someone calls you back system' I think. Fwiw, issues have been easily resolved.
