@iiNet It seems there was a fire at an exchange that is impacting internet services in Eltham/3095. This is from screenshot texts on other social media. Current estimation of service being restored is 8th March. But no information from you as a service provider?

@fimail70 @iiNet Sadly, no. 32+ hrs and no closer to a fix. My business is bleeding. Tech = lovely but no clue RE cause/fix. Blamed modem - 99.9% sure it's not that (their internal TransACT team confirmed it's visible on WAN + has sync/IP allocated). My modem shows the same (no issue). 1 of 2

  • shouldandmust mick (@shouldandmust) reported

@iiNet No thanks! @iiNet customer support have told me that there WAS an illegal churn, but that there a definitely real, totally unrelated outage impacting 12 customers, which is coincidentally the number of businesses on my street.

  • sspencer_63 Stephen Spencer (@sspencer_63) reported

@egadheg A good option if all else fails. I’m paying $80 for 80 down and 30 up on @iiNet ADSL2+ That will do me for now

  • _SeeYouAtHome_ Marius D (@_SeeYouAtHome_) reported

@iiNet That info seems to suggest it's North Balwyn, which is not near 3095 (it's 12km away). Regardless of location, as you know there is an issue and potentially will be for a few days, why not inform your customers about it via text/email?
