When asked what further action we might consider, @iiNet failed to mention the Communications Ombudsman. That's pretty poor guys ... are we just supposed to suck it up, or something. We've been with @iiNet so long we have an @ozemail email address. 20 years +

No probs experienced until first storm post-NBN connection. We're paying for @NBN_Australia through @iiNet & every time there's an electrical storm we lose connectivity. This is logged & @iiNet have seen the outage for themselves but apparently there's nothing more can be done.

Hey @iiNet ... could I trouble you for a reply to my SMS and/or email please? Even a phone call would be nice. I was told 1-2 hours. It has now been more than 3.5 hours. Don't leave me in limbo like this!

Because the storm had passed and connectivity returned there was apparently nothing they could do. "Call us back when/If the outage happens again." Monday night it happened again so we called @iiNet

@sortius @iiNet @NBN_Australia Just shits me that every 3-6 months, for no reason, the configuration and appliances as supplied by ISP that been working seamlessly start to crap out. Download speeds look fine but streaming content degrades, buffers and throw errors. ADSL1 or worse. It's like 2005.

Is anyone else have massive problems with @iinet internet speeds today in Melbourne? Holy hell! :/

Called @iiNet tonight. Informed @NBN_Australia have looked into it and won't be sending out anyone to investigate the fault. Presumably there was connectivity at the time they checked so they think it's all good. This will happen next time there's a storm, as sure as ****.

Now @iiNet want to put us in contact with the support team. The same support team who "can't do anything more. Don't need to go back to the start with the support team or turn the router on/off or explain to someone new why there is a problem despite having connectivity now.

Christ, @iiNet, this is still going on. I’ve a story due Monday that I’m trying to research and an online university course that I’m trying to stay on top of with an exam on Tuesday. Switching between slow wifi when it’s up and expensive 4G on my phone is driving me crazy!!!!

So @iiNet has clearly been hacked. I get a legit invoice telling me that a bill is due but all is good as I have direct debit setup. Week later I get a 'credit card declined' email and a dodgy link to a website looking and smelling like iinet, but isn't asking me to login to pay.
