@beeso No, the complaint was about the double dipping. But these are two different deals, with at least one of them standard business practice. Should people be appalled at Foxtel getting grants to broadcast sports behind a pay wall? Certainly. But the ABC has to film games somehow.

@FOXTEL_Help I pushed the power button for 10 seconds and I tried recording the program but I’m getting the same message. It’s also unrecorded it after I record ‘this episode’ It’s never done this before. I’ve always been able to record it.

@balumbah @ConorMadigan4 Although not a foxtel fan, not blaming them, its business. Just seems odd the govt provides a grant to foxtel to show womens sport and also pays foxtel to show matildas on the ABC. Probably is a govt funding issue of the ABC.

@couch_specimen @MrKRudd The issue here is that the government could have given the ABC money to get the rights directly. Instead taxpayer money went to Foxtel to produce the content and then the ABC used taxpayer to buy the broadcast from Foxtel. Taxpayers paid twice. That is the double dip.

@MrKRudd Whilst I don’t believe we should be giving any money to Foxtel, I sure as **** don’t want one cent going to ABC either #alwaysbiasedcrap

After 8 years (at this address) I finally cancelled @Foxtel Lots of reasons why but paying increasing amounts of money for crap like Hillsong and Sky News definitely large contributors.
