@CircleToonsHD here in australia, we have a pay-tv cable network (foxtel) that charges exuberant amounts of money and has, like, 5x more ads than standard free-to-air tv. but yeah i pretty much never watch tv anymore, and in rare circumstances where i have to, it's made me angry/annoyed lmao

@MFWitches Foxtel runs a monopoly on alot of American shows game of thrones for example, and I'm not paying there ridiculous prices or dealing with there "customer support".

@MFWitches I still do it to this day for many reasons. My parents don't have the Foxtel package for Wentworth, so I download it for them. Also, I download movies, TV and music for myself mainly because of geo blocking, cost of physical media and streaming service removing content

@GAFan8 @Foxtel What a way to go out, with a bang! I live near the places where they shoot all this, the building they shoot the prison in has now been demolished. I have to wonder if they actually shot part of the demolition with all those bricks collapsing down.

@MFWitches Similar to other replies - poor, young, no access, seemed like everyone was doing it. Don’t do it anymore, happy to purchase vinyl & pay for streaming (never Foxtel). Would also love an alternative to evil Amazon Audible for audiobooks?

If I’m paying a stupid amount of $$ compared to other streaming services which have multiple seasons available why does @Foxtel still run ads between episodes? Like I thought paying for it would rid me of ads if I wanted to watch them I’d just watch free to air tv

@MFWitches I got GOT on pirate bay until the final season. I would have subbed to any other streaming service but not Foxtel. Final season I watched on. Friend’s Foxtel account. I did it out of sheer spite. #fuckmurdoch

Happy day. I finally won the very long running argument and $he has disconnected @Foxtel. Signing up for every single streaming service will be cheaper. I've been saying this for years but it took $his brother to finally convince $him yesterday.
