@AusAntiLeft Android tv box, Pluto tv( needs vpn though) way way better than Foxtel. All free. Also airy tv comes a close second. No vpn needed for airy tv. But heaps of ways to get the channels that Foxtel air for free. Mobdro does this but the channels are crap viewing.

  • Hugh_96 Hugh_96 (@Hugh_96) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@balumbah @ConorMadigan4 Although not a foxtel fan, not blaming them, its business. Just seems odd the govt provides a grant to foxtel to show womens sport and also pays foxtel to show matildas on the ABC. Probably is a govt funding issue of the ABC.

  • Wuffies2 Wuffies (@Wuffies2) reported

@nitagreenqld Never liked Foxtel and this is another reason to dislike it even more.

  • JoshuaGannon17 Joshua Gannon (@JoshuaGannon17) reported

@couch_specimen @MrKRudd The issue here is that the government could have given the ABC money to get the rights directly. Instead taxpayer money went to Foxtel to produce the content and then the ABC used taxpayer to buy the broadcast from Foxtel. Taxpayers paid twice. That is the double dip.

  • sarahmagarey Sarah Magarey (@sarahmagarey) reported

@Telstra No, but I've seen multiple websites reporting foxtel issues since thunderstorm an hour or so ago. We purchase our foxtel through you. Can you please advise?

  • JoshuaGannon17 Joshua Gannon (@JoshuaGannon17) reported

@realCarrickRyan Are they allowed to order room service meals ? And, ( tho not likely appropriate to ask parents of a newborn), are they allowed access to the mini bar & snacks & do they get complimentary free Netflix/ Foxtel ?

  • scrumblebum1 Mark (@scrumblebum1) reported

@FOXTEL_Help Never works. If it goes again I'm leaving my subscription.

  • Timothy_Moran Tim Moran (@Timothy_Moran) reported

@itis_michelle @KatyAveryy Did you cancel Foxtel Now or just Foxtel? We literally can't find the difference between the two

  • scrumblebum1 Mark (@scrumblebum1) reported

@FOXTEL if I have to log in one more time this week you can cancel my subscription. Bloody useless.

  • lucydufty Lucy Dufty (@lucydufty) reported

@FOXTEL_Help I pushed the power button for 10 seconds and I tried recording the program but I’m getting the same message. It’s also unrecorded it after I record ‘this episode’ It’s never done this before. I’ve always been able to record it.

  • DebSpillane DebbieSpillane (@DebSpillane) reported

@cheryl_kernot As I’ve said before, if you have Foxtel for sport (as I did until recently) you’re effectively paying 3 times. You’re paying Murdoch directly (through the nose at a stupid price btw), and then your taxes are paying Murdoch and for the ABC to pay Murdoch. Good system, eh?

  • bec_giddy Bec (@bec_giddy) reported

@FOXTEL_Help Hi there, just have a question, on my IQ the red light isn’t showing. I’ve restarted the box, is this an issue with the box?

  • michaelaxe Anti Complacency League (@michaelaxe) reported

@colonelhogans @devalara44 @sarahinthesen8 This deal does my head in. Why would you financially support a rival bidder to meet the obligations of its grant/loan/grift? The ABC should be paid by Foxtel, to help it meet its commercial obligation.

  • lizbianess Parker Lewis (@lizbianess) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Holy **** Foxtel are showing season 5 of Junior Bake Off and I’m beyond excited as I got emotionally invested when it was on air in England in November 2019 and I never got to finish it 😭😭😭😭 TODAY IS A GOOD DAY

  • TheDanBarrett Dan Barrett (@TheDanBarrett) reported

@beeso No, the complaint was about the double dipping. But these are two different deals, with at least one of them standard business practice. Should people be appalled at Foxtel getting grants to broadcast sports behind a pay wall? Certainly. But the ABC has to film games somehow.

  • monkey_brennan the grinch who stole Steve Smith’s hands (@monkey_brennan) reported

@AhanCricket Kayo sports (Foxtel online sports service) & VPN might work? Will need to pay about 25AUD for Kayo but can often get a 30 free trial. That would see you through the tests

  • jonthegpi The red masque (@jonthegpi) reported

@mrtonymartin The only thing keeping foxtel afloat is federal funding, the only thing keeping the smirking idiot in office is News Ltd acting as as his PR firm

  • jasonatutty70 jasonatutty (@jasonatutty70) reported

@Foxtel HEY FOXTEL, MAYBE DON’T PLAY THE MADE FOR TV VERSION OF “BOWFINGER” YOU KNOW, THE ONE THAT DOESN’T DROP TO BLACK FOR COMMERCIALS EVERY 12 MINS. YOU KNOW, ACTUALLY GIVE ME WHAT I PAY FOR? #foxtel #service #seriously

  • 2021Tweets 🖤 🕷 2021 🕷 🖤 (@2021Tweets) reported

@MrKRudd Morrison's paying Murdoch with our money that he cut from the ABC to help fund favourable press from the Murdoch media. #ScottyFromMarketing is as cunning as a sh*thouse rat. #Foxtel

  • WurthWouter Wouter Wurth (@WurthWouter) reported

@MrKRudd The best way to kill Murdock businesses, NewsCord, Foxtel , Sky, SMH, Australian. is by shutting down all service provided by him and affiliates. You will be surprised how much money you save apart from doing a good deed. Scrutinise what you subscribe to.

  • BrudalBruthers Mrs Chuffy's Kat (@BrudalBruthers) reported

    @DocDocwight Never watching foxtel

  • IrritatedAuntie Auntie VS Evil (@IrritatedAuntie) reported

@sarahinthesen8 How does keeping womens sport behind pay wall tv network help promote it? Women earn less than men. They are less likely to be able to afford Foxtel. End result - this keeps woman's sport away from women.

  • alfombro Alfombro (@alfombro) reported

@sarahinthesen8 Plus what they get directly from Subscribers!!! I haven’t had any foxtel service for a couple of years now and surviving ok so far ;)

@Melissa42487714 @corybernardi @SkyNewsAust Oooh thanks for the heads up. So much choice. FOXTEL and it’s entire platform is just CRAP. Reality TV and Sky. Yuck.

  • sarahmagarey Sarah Magarey (@sarahmagarey) reported

@Telstra has the storm caused an outage? Circuit breaker was tripped and since then our foxtel box wont come back online.

  • itsrenatak Renata (@itsrenatak) reported

Netflix is so popular all over the world but I don’t have enough money to spend on it as I already have an Australian/ New Zealand streaming pay TV service Foxtel and I enjoy it just as much as I can use the app on my iPhone to stream movies and TV shows.

  • NicolaS83964625 antheriumgirl (@NicolaS83964625) reported

@AusAntiLeft Ditched Netflix and and Stan. Never bothered with Foxtel.

  • chrisede_au C:\hris (@chrisede_au) reported

With all of these streaming services (Discovery is launching theirs tomorrow) maybe Foxtel / cable wasn't a bad deal after all. Or pirating. Just do pirating.
