And that reminds me: on my 50th birthday I hadn't heard ANYTHING from Mum by 5 in the afternoon, so I decided to phone her instead. AFL has beaten the NRL multiple times this season including last night which was AFL 655k and NRL 544k. It's always going to change though depending on the games that are on and general interest in those teams. In the stands, its 37,623 AFL and 21, 676 NRL for average attendance. That's 73% higher. For last season in particular, AFL had a Seven FTA average of 630k, and roughly 300k for Kayo/Foxtel NRL had a Nine FTA average of 570k and around 430k for Kayo/Foxtel. So no, it's not night and day between "every domestic sport combined" its barely midday and 1pm between NRL and AFL, and night and day between AFL and NRL when it comes to people actually getting off their arses and going to support their team. I don't watch either sport, but the facts are there in black and white.
