  • tylrdavid Rage Against the Journopoly (@tylrdavid) reported

@davidbewart The problem with this theory is that almost all NBN connections can watch streaming services without issue, including Foxtel. I do think News Corp trashed FTTP, but only because it was a Labor plan, and another weapon to get the LNP back in power.

  • Bondiward Mike Ward (@Bondiward) reported

@davidbewart I would put money on it and get very low odds. Didn't Malcolm then donate 40mil to Murdoch. The NBN was undermined to protect the Foxtel cable network. It's obvious. Who did it for what reason.I'm sure they all deny but the NBN experience and internet speeds speak for themselves

  • emjayde2012 emily jayde (@emjayde2012) reported

@Telstra is there an outage in chadstone no internet and no Foxtel and when we call we get hung up on

  • geodel62 the big souvlaki ..new ice cream flavour (@geodel62) reported

@RichardTuffin @blakandblack These groups can be found amongst Sky/Foxtel subscribers. Should be too hard to track them down.

  • rightleftgreg Greg King (@rightleftgreg) reported

@simleo @MadFckingWitch Lol. Foxtel called me all excited with a subscription deal $49 how does that sound ? I said “sounds ****, call me back when it’s 10”

  • BobSlydell81 Witchfinder General (@BobSlydell81) reported

@BrianMitchellMP Anyone with any intelligence knew that fibre was the best option. The problem was that ‘fibre to the node’ was a threat to Foxtel and thereafter Murdoch’s minions (in the media and LNP govt) did their duty for the dark lord.

  • PeterWi05879624 Peter Williams (@PeterWi05879624) reported

@deniseshrivell Don't worry now that Rupert's FoxTel is moving to internet delivery mechanisms he'll probably instruct the government to fix the NBN.

  • hayden_marsh96 Hayden Marsh (@hayden_marsh96) reported

@2degreesmobile I'm currently getting some pretty severe latency issues to some Australian ISP's. Telstra (Sydney) to name one. ~145ms ping vs ~46ms ping to Foxtel (Sydney). Not just me too, other friends on 2D are also having these issues.

  • whiskybic ALEX JOEL (@whiskybic) reported

@DanielBleakley @AlboMP @Foxtel I'd argue it's not even done much to help Foxtel in the long run, so the damage was essentially done for nothing - scuttling infrastructure for no gain. IMO biggest things that prop up Foxtel's subscriber base are sports and exclusive content like their HBO catalogue.

  • ChrisRoss32 Chris Ross (@ChrisRoss32) reported

@MRowlandMP @Bowenchris What a surprise! Australia punished again by our "leaders", all so Rupert Murdoch could sell his copper Foxtel cable service to the NBN. Any network engineer worth their salt would design a solution with as few options as possible - consistency is key!
