And still no response from @whatsapp. At this point I have to consider dropping their platform and moving to a more reliable messaging service. I’ve lost the ability to communicate with several contacts, both as individuals and within threads. No web app access for desktop.

@WhatsApp “We are and will continue to be committed to your privacy.” Doesn’t make any sense when you pass our data to Facebook. You’re no better than Yahoo was with its Messenger & look what happened to that company. Down the pan, as you will be as people move away before Mays ultimatum.

@WhatsApp Right.. but what about login IPs, device IDs, location, picture metadata with location included to name just a few. What do you with those? It is pretty much clear for most people you harvest data like there's no tomorrow.
