  @eevblog If you turn on Data Roaming when in Vodafone, in areas where there is poor coverage, it will connect to an Optus tower to fill the gap. This only works for Vodafone and not Optus or Telstra.

  @Mr_Fanta_Pants @Telstra Why did she switch? Aren’t Southern under Telstra, the problems would be the same. With all the issues I had with them at work and home I dumped them 34 years ago. They still think they’re a monopoly.

  @AlanBixter Ahh yes, the joys of having every Telstra support person go through the same failed script (re-start modem, check cables, blah, blah...) & then sending a new modem - which still doesn't fix the problem 😡. I have quite the collection now.

  After numerous issues with @Telstra NBN were decided to give @Aussie_BB a try. Never again. For a company that prides itself on customer support this is the worst connection experience I’ve encountered. Allegedly now an NBN wide issue is preventing new connections.

  @telstra reception in Vermont South (near Sewart close) is crap. I logged a call (INC 40508228) as a @Telstra Gold member 6 months ago, today they told me it was fixed. It ain’t fixed. Still no 4G/5G and I’m paying for 4G backup on my NBN modem. This is beyond a joke.

  🚨 Telstra, TPG telecom clash with Musk’s SpaceX over Starlink spectrum guarantee Australian telecom giants Telstra and TPG Telecom are urging the government to hold competitive auctions for satellite-mobile frequencies instead of granting SpaceX guaranteed priority access for Starlink’s Direct-to-Cell service. They warn that such guarantees risk market concentration and could lead to higher consumer prices.   @Justme136160 @robb_j_m To be fair, David is not wrong. Telcos will use the NBN infrastructure as they see fit. It’s cheaper to pay to use the NBN infrastructure that is already there than to lay down their own fibre. In fact, telcos like Optus and Telstra are already NBN providers.

  @bek_lenin @MmeMaigret1 @ashman_the Keating/Hawke began the sell off. Commonwealth Bank, Telstra etc. Costello/Howard continued with it. Just as bad as each other. Rudd with his ‘stimulus cheques’ got us into debt which has spiralled to today’s numbers.
