@Telstra Badly, service outage all night, this morning reset modem and it's on again for how long we will see.

@Telstra Post paid. Never asked for it to be turned off. Couldn’t vote in eurovision this morning. A lot of others were the same.

@manaz_d @SouthCoastLeese @Telstra Incoming server still down. Outgoing seems to be working now. Telstra advise to speak with their text messaging service and as usual they just buy time and repeat the same question over and over, crazy

@Telstra @SouthCoastLeese @bigpond Because one of the "troubleshooting" steps taken by your helpdesk staff was to change account passwords - kinda pointless if the service has issues itself (and is causing flow-on effects where multiple devices now have to have setting needlessly changed).

@telstra says I cannot receive customer service (customer for 9 years) without a direct debit agreement. Is that legal?

@erietta @TimVanMartin Finally got a reply from @Telstra in a private channel. Which i will post here later. Turns out they’re migrating Ripley to a new service one can only access via DD. None of which was mentioned in 3 h of conversation.

Anyone else noticed how COVID gave many big recession-proof service providers including some banks, telstra and centrelink an excuse to scrap almost all direct contact options for people? like they just couldn't be assed spending money on actual humans to answer calls anymore.

@MikeCarlton01 F*** it never ends. Why oh why must we sell off (or give away) every essential service? Whether it's public transport or electricity & gas or telecoms or nursing homes or NDIS. Some of them (Telstra an obvious one) even make profits!

@ChrisBe54385683 @Telstra @JalnaGrove So it's not just me then.... have been doing webmail as a workaround [which is also glitching a bit] because outlook keeps saying server taking too long or it can't contact it (issues webmail doesn't report, but it's pretty obvious it's not updating on schedule). REALLY NOT OK.

@Telstra Any idea when you will have the Outlook connection timeout issue resolved? I have over a dozen clients who cannot use Outlook to conduct their business affairs. Webmail is not practical for users who only have experience in Outlook.
