@DarkViperAU @Telstra Look I appreciate the Telstra social media admins and they don't deserve vitriol, but the company needs to up their game big time. I'm thankful I have full Vodafone 5G coverage in my area so I switched to that and haven't had an issue since

@SteveFitSmart @MikeCarlton01 @NAB Telstra had internal groups to solve the worst customer shitfights that should have been solved at front end. The difference? They have access to all systems

@Telstra Thanks so much for your quick reply; I'm not sure Telstra is actually the problem here 😜 More likely upstream/NBN, as I said Telstra's cable (before NBN) was super-reliable. And, Telstra's failover 4G modem is great for situations like this.

@Mithim_ @ShogoWrA But why would Telstra be sending out cheques?? Their whole brand is about their supposed speedy and efficient technology! Mysterious, T must end up with a net gain, perhaps some cheques never get banked

@Telstra Ok, but I am not even a Telstra customer, that's what triggered my suspicion.

@Kherzii My Telstra modem swapped to data when our house’s wiring caused our NBN connection to die, and my god, it was ******* horrible. Slow, unstable, no range, it somehow functioned worse than my phone’s data despite being the size of a brick. Hope yours works better than mine did

@DarkViperAU @Telstra Im probably getting this wrong but where did you buy the phone? Sometimes if you buy a phone from a certain place it’ll be locked to a specific service ya know?

@DarkViperAU @Telstra I'm not sure how the phone network in Australia differs from the rest of the world, but generally speaking any phone purchased in Australia should support the proper radio bands for any network carrier.
