Think this is a tad worse than Telstra outage! Just sayin'

I’m not defending the gov, but it’s not always the gov fault when a gov funded service fails. This is primarily on Telstra (a privatised, formerly government service).

Telstra faces outage investigation as expert says legal gaps may let it off- abc The debate when Telstra was privatised was it was a critical piece of Australia’s security, should not be on private hands. This reinforces the case. Thank you Barnaby

Support the Telstra workers. They will be as frustrated as all of us on this outage. I've been in there. They will have highlighted the problems over the decades. Let's get their input now & build a robust system. #auspol

Telstra outage and emergency 000 calls. Just trying to remember how we managed in the dark old days when all we had was a dial-up telephone plugged into a wall

What is pissing me off with the Media & this Telstra outage is, they are screeching for everyone to say sorry Guess what, sorry, does not fix & resolve the issues that caused the outage! However the media are not asking Telstra, what happened? why did it happen? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ENSURE IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!

@Butterlegs_ Ye that’s why I got it tbh, thinking if I ever do my regional trips I’ll cop a basic Telstra just in case and 5 years later well lol. That said I think they’ve expanded their network bc I was down in new norcia and a few other ruralish places and my cover never dropped so perhaps

@caracal_fandom A privatised Telstra didnt fail to build broadband, Sol Trujilio went to John Howard and asked if he could build the network in exchange for having a monopoly and Howard couldn't or wpuldn't approve it.

Why are people getting upset with the Telstra CEO? From the government's own stupid laws, she can't be contacted outside of her work hours. Telstra would be sued for harassment under the 'Right to Connect' laws.
