@owgreally @MSMWatchdog2013 If you have shares then Telstra or whoever will have to pay dividends if franking credits are removed. The companies can't NOT pay their share holders. The whole industry from the New York Stock Exchange down would crash and mattress sales would increase.

@macsween_prue @Telstra Agreed Telstra is the worst and most hated company in Australia. Unfortunately if we travel (or used to) we are stuck with it. I truly hate that they do not employ Australians in their call centres.

@Cyclops_Trader @Optus Get on Belong - uses the Telstra network and is a quarter the price. Optus network is dogshit, well, at least where I am.

@whattheceej They’re starting to attack the Aussie market now. But pricing is not competitive. They can easily take out NBN, Telstra, Optus etc easily buy just lowering down their monthly sub fees.

The data beach was data held by a third party supplier, so there's your third party risk management failure on Telstra's end. But, crucially, the service they provided was obsolete, so what need did they have for that data?

Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported
found via my brother who was a Telstra technician that @telstra removed plastic shielding from copper wires which causes corrosion, dropouts and error rates - @NBN_Australia is maintaining Caboolture wires on 25/10/22 0am-6am - hopefully not 3 days down and use shielded copper

@Telstra Interesting approach raises questions and points. The real issue is that ALL IT systems are vulnerable. Let's be honest. It is not uncommon for Telstra to use 3rd party vendors and supply data.

After seventeen weeks of dealing with Telstra ( contact Maxine) to correctly install my iphone. Today they accidentally ****** up my phone connection. I now have no signal and Telstra ( Maxine) can not help

@Telstra I would have heard about it, sadly, our internet keeps dropping out every few minutes and when it is up, is barely useable. Been told they are aware of an issue, but nearly 2 weeks now, still terrible. Sad for your employees about this breach. Even if it is from 2017, appalling.

@DerekRobinson2 @MichaelWestBiz They aren’t trying to improve their customer base? Telstra here we come with that attitude.
