  @WInsufficientia @Totally4yeah @PaulBongiorno Aside: My understanding is you should never privatise a natural monopoly. So Telstra or Transgrid, SECV etc would fall into that category. Banks probably ok as numerous.

  @SkyNewsAust Is Telstra in a world of trouble? Critical vulnerabilities? Sub-standard 5G with weak coverage in metro areas? Copper wires restricting delivery & speed? Satellite alternatives more reliable & often faster? Slow capacity restricting business compared to competing countries?

  @RizviAbul Sale of Telstra wouldn't have made much difference, if its a software issue(may very well have been) then the problem remains wregardless of the owner. Perhaps what you mean is the Government should have held on to the networks the Telcos use.

  Surely if there are no deaths from the Telstra outage it’s just luck. The issue is the ability to call emergency services, not whether that led to a fatality.
