-
Linda van Dulst (@lvan61) reportedJeezus. Now China is responsible for the Telstra issue according to everyone but Sarah Martin. The level of ‘analysis’ is appalling today. #insiders
-
Captain Obvious (@uptothegame) reported@Telstra What a complete load of ****. No compensation. Just words. What a disgrace. You don’t care.
-
Andrew Bishop (@AndrewB12983801) reported@therevaknight vline should have had a fallback plan for if telstra had issues
-
Land of Stupidity (@StupidOzzies) reportedIf it was China taking Telstra down it would not be back running so quick
-
UndoubtedlyDoubtful (@undbtlydoubtful) reported@WInsufficientia @Totally4yeah @PaulBongiorno Aside: My understanding is you should never privatise a natural monopoly. So Telstra or Transgrid, SECV etc would fall into that category. Banks probably ok as numerous.
-
Dane Trethowan (@grtdane) reported@RizviAbul Sale of Telstra wouldn't have made much difference, if its a software issue(may very well have been) then the problem remains wregardless of the owner. Perhaps what you mean is the Government should have held on to the networks the Telcos use.
-
david bennett (@Davidus_Rex) reportedTelstra admits its entire network has a single point of failure, a 20yo time server connected to GPS. It failed, taking out thousands of customers, business, railways, etc. Imagine that on a global scale, triggered by one single satellite collision. Just waiting to happen.
-
Ferdie Khnopff (@FKhnopff) reported@Democracy_Duck @ABCmediawatch Are you suggesting giving the network back to public ownership? To an organisation like NBN where rejects from Telstra & Optus go to work? (Including Telstra's so-called risk management 'experts' BTW) With ACMA keeping an eye on things?
-
Dan (@danbengol) reported@daz930 @TerenceMcCart14 Costs for the land from Council. The advertising revenue more than covers the network costs and is a profit centre for Telstra. Since suburban ones would be running at a loss, but under city/CBD highly profitable. Run mix of Telstra and 3rd party advertising.

Jake 🍺 (@JakeBeer11) reported@Telstra When do we receive compensation. Will there be a credit on the next bill for the outage ?
