@Telstra was in chat, told I'd get a call-back. never did. called back. on phone for 45 mins now.. this $150 credit has been sitting on my account since i left australia and returned to US 4 months ago. just deposit the credit back to my card/bank account on file. wasting my time

@TheNakedFarmers @PCKJ3627 @MichaelAckland3 4. (cont) within 24 hours. 5. Take your business to Aussie Broadband or Mate or any outfit with Australian call centres only. The offshore consultants at Telstra work from scripts only and if the issue is outside those narrow parameters, you're screwed.

@bouta_nt Several years ago an elderly man in town an old bushie, rang Telstra because his internet dongle wasn't working. 15 months later looked at his account & discovered they'd sold him an additional service that he didn't know about, & of course had never used. I got him $1500 refund.

@TheNakedFarmers @MichaelAckland3 They will prioritize sending a technician out if you have a person living there with health issues. Also, ring the ombudsman for telecommunications, lodge a complaint. Telstra has to respond to them within a certain time frame.

@Telstra I appreciate the offer but my repeated experience of dealing with @Telstra online is poor, I'll never do this again. At least shaking my fist at @andy_penn makes me feel good, even if it doesn't achieve anything ✊

@Telstra The HFC speed has returned to normal. But, the 4G backup, when required due to a HFC outage, is so poor as to be borderline useless. For reference, a 4G mobile phone held alongside the Smart Modem Gen 2 modem in 4G backup mode achieved 30Mbps vs 0.3Mbps (respectively).
