Frustrating! My emails are not loading off the server to any device! @Telstra when is this problem going to be fixed? Your network update seems to be neglected with no update since 10 August 😡😡

@MikeCarlton01 @Telstra During the event, I predicted the cause to be a faulty software update which had not been properly tested before deployment. I was right: "On Thursday, Ackland confirmed that the update pushed out to the rest of the network dialled back the clock internally to November 2006."

@MitchEllis67 Is that due to the Telstra outage?

@Telstra can you please explain why I’ve been on a chat for over 40 minutes just trying to add my watch plan to my new watch and they still haven’t addressed and helped me yet! This is disgusting service and incompetence

@VoteLewko Little stupid they only have Telstra and no backup.

Why ******** does @9NewsAUS always play the opinions of the Greens nearly every night? Why ******** do we care about the opinion of the cancer @DavidShoebridge on Telstra?

@Kate3015 You can bet, some Indian software blokes are involved, and I note the Telstra Head Shelia has finally arrived back from Hols, mind you, not that she can or will do anything to fix the issues.

@theheraldsun Telstra’s outage affected many states but Victoria’s train network was most affected. Why more than other states? State government stuff up. Optus has had outages too so you shouldn’t be fully reliant on these telcos.

@thatfancypear If Telstra was able to interfere with the backup service, there's something wrong with the backup.

@wilmsfront @user26194736 That is increasingly difficult and there are any number of organisations that have no possibility whatsoever of reverting to pencil and paper in an emergency. But this strikes me as a more basic error. That said, someone may have signed off on this as an acceptable risk. I can't say whether or not that was the right call but if it was, then expecting Telstra to own it is a bit unfair.

@OsherFeldman If she had an ounce of understanding she would know anyone ringing 000 when there’s a failure of a network like Telstra would know that the call is diverted to another network & it takes about a minute to connect through, as I heard today. Education people
