@ricsip82 @danieldibswe @Enno_Insinuator Except that it is theoretical as there are many networks, peering agreements, etc. which means that what the DNS thinks is "close enough" might have a terrible path (e.g. PCCW - Telstra a while back). Asian peering is substantially worse in practice than European and NTP suffers

I’m stuck thinking about my mobile carrier, so I stay with an Optus MVNO or go to a Telstra ‘full service’ MVNO. It’s complicated. There’s $10 a month in it between the two companies.

australian twitter does anyone have a preferred mobile phone provider? - i rarely make calls, just occasional text for security purposes, so don’t need tons of data - desperate for a provider where i can speak to a human if there is a problem (so NOT optus telstra etc) tyia

@maudenificent I'm with you regards Telstra. Absolutely no customer service no respect. I've been a fisherman for many years, working from Cairns Broome. Telstra is the ONLY service.

@maudenificent My wife uses Aldi mobile. Really cheap and uses the vast Telstra network so coverage is good. Better reception than Optus here on Gumbaynggirr lands.

@jeffreys_jake i’ll go off the grid and live without sennalink before i touch telstra again - thanks anyway - the only people who ever gave me more unwarranted abuse than my dysfunctional birth family most organisations are good until there is a problem then they become beyond hopeless

@Telstra yeah idk this is like a system wise issue for country people. Even a "working" country line is barely audible now. How could you give info to an ambo if they can only hear every fourth word.

@Frank61pc @maudenificent ****, that's sad. I have Optus for town life, I live 40klms out of Cairns and Optus better, but if I'm going bush or to sea, I have a cheap Telstra prepaid.
