@Telstra I love all this modern technology designed to simplify your life and complicate the customer’s. But when there is money to be owed - you know how to mail. I press the link provided; it takes me here and I press “Speak with Us”. What cld b easier? Right?

  • hutcho66 James Hutcheon (@hutcho66) reported

@taipan168 Telstra has no service guarantees at all in things like the mobile network or NBN retail etc.

@veromeanstruth @TammyWolffs @MarekRivers really the later. Privatisation is only considered worthwhile for buyers if they stand to make $$$$$. Look at Telstra, QANTAS, electricity etc. Historically also results in major problems with infrastructure due to negligence IMO

  • iamnotbatman01 matt (@iamnotbatman01) reported

@FOXTEL_Help @telstra @NBNCo is there an outage in elsternwick today? No internet or Foxtel cable since about 8:30- 9am today. I am aware of united energy doing work in near location.

  • yidashengli 森森 (@yidashengli) reported

is it just me or is the Telstra network noticeably worse than Optus around the city

  • Ollie_Bun ollie 🌽 (@Ollie_Bun) reported

@3000casesbyjan8 That’s certainly true, but I put that down to poor judgment. If people are determined to trust Telstra after the past two decades of the example they’ve set, the idea that government ownership would be good to protect those consumers specifically is a weird one to me.

  • AusCommenter AusPolCommenter (@AusCommenter) reported

Compare the level of service and trust in businesses like Qantas, Telstra or CommBank now to the ‘90s before they were all privatised. Once national treasures that set the standard, all three are sub-par and frequently **** customers around. #AusPol #QantasFail

  • taipan168 taipan168 (@taipan168) reported

@hutcho66 The proposition in the article is absurd. How would these minimum service standards be set and who would have to pay for their cost? And the Telstra analogy is not valid because Qantas is not a monopoly. Agree that better consumer protections would be a much better way to go.
