  @KymRob25112 No idea in Qld. But in Sydney Telstra has sadly become the only option. The complete mess up with triple zero calls ( carrier errors) no mistake in that. The tower's aren't coping with this change. Regional with fewer options. That's harsh. Hope 🙏

  @BrowntownBrew @robb_j_m In some cases. They would pay Telstra to use the pits, or Telstra itself would install fibre. This is an issue all over the world. We’re simply trading one monopoly (Telstra) for another (NBN). But there’s nothing to stop another company in theory from running their own fibre in dense areas - but not now of course, as they wouldn’t be allowed to undercut the NBN (hence the stupid NBN has actually made it so internet cannot be cheaper than how much they say it should be - law of unintended consequences - now the law is literally making cheap internet illegal).

  @robb_j_m $94.00 a month and we have trouble with the stream every time we watch a live NRL game...and we live on the main street of town. Telstra in case you were wondering...

  @pelli_69 @Optus @Telstra I was with them for years, then went straight to Aussie Broadband! One of the many benefits is that it has Aussie call centres & tech support.

  @DrewPavlou @GeraldPimm The issue is when the state goes into debt it sells its assets. Gov used to own most necessary infrastructure like Telstra,sec,ports etc. When they need $ they sell.

  @bazingashane0 @Telstra My case manager is lovely. Very polite, very professional. Genuinely wants to help. I can't fault the excellent customer service. Still has piss poor reading comprehension though. I feel sorry for the poor sod, I have twenty years in I.T. and communications, a lot of it

  @RichardTheLegit @robb_j_m Leaptel. All the big RSPs are terrible because they know they get customers just because of the name. Leaptel typically outperforms Telstra even during peak periods.

  @katsukisparkles the problem is telstra wont let us and we dont wanna switch because they own our phone numbers and it sucks to change numbers on everything

  @diss_presso @robb_j_m There was no free market competition before because of Telstra. The substandard part of the network is slowly being replaced as people sign up for the free fibre upgrade
