  @hutcho66 @MiddleMoney @Anneeokeefe I believe the issue this time around was that Telstra started sending out incorrect datetime info across their network, and railway systems took that data onboard and fell over horribly.

  @NuttElecs @PaulBongiorno i remember a few years ago when a small fire in a chatswood telstra office took out their whole national SMS system. telstra loves single point of failure network design, i doubt they have much redundancy at all.

  TELSTRA OUTAGE II After 24hrs still no clear answers on the technical problem! HOWEVER there is a greater strategic infrastructure issue: How can a single malfunction isolate ALL OF EASTERN AUSTRALIA? Such a problem should only affect a region or at worst a State. @abcnews

  Telstra says it is working with South Australia Police as they investigate the death of a person at a regional hospital during the company’s triple zero network issues. The telco said its thoughts were with the person’s family and loved ones, and that it was helping police establish whether there was any connection between the death and the outage.

  @PaulBongiorno Massive Telstra outage, CEO Vicki Brady overseas holidaying. Is it a coincidence 12mths ago (July 2025); Qantas experienced massive cyberattack & CEO Vanessa Hudson was also holidaying overseas.

  Don't take any frustration out on Telstra workers. I've worked there & they'll be as annoyed about this as the rest of Australia. The wider problem is layers of management over decades not listening to workers. Telstra is a great company. Listen to workers & improve. #auspol

  @caracal_fandom A privatised Telstra didnt fail to build broadband, Sol Trujilio went to John Howard and asked if he could build the network in exchange for having a monopoly and Howard couldn't or wpuldn't approve it.

  @FranMooMoo Vicky Brady, at her presser, "We take 000 extremely seriously". Telstra is mandated to provide the service. I worked at 000. In 2011, staff doing the same job were on eight different employment contracts. Telstra had agencies compete in a wage-cutting competition. Credibility 000
