xcdn (@excda) reported@Telstra How much would it have been to stop this outage it would me not as much as the compensation and the reputation damage. Will never admit if some of these were caused by outsourcing..

Lynn Phillips (@HappyPawsTreats) reportedJust got an email from Telstra. Couldn't copy the image, so this is the body of the mesasage. An "apology". That's all. These people aren't serious AND they're cheap .... "Sorry we let you downLast week we let you down, and I am sorry for that. An issue in our mobile network caused significant disruption to our customers and to Australians. We know how much people rely on us to keep in touch, do their work, run businesses and stay safe. It's extremely frustrating when mobile services aren't available, and we're deeply sorry for the impact this had on so many people. Networks are large and complex, and we invest significantly in the resilience of our network. When something goes wrong, we're committed to taking accountability, giving you clear information, and fixing issues as quickly as possible. We understand what caused the issue and will complete a full investigation and take what we learn to make our network stronger. You have my commitment on that. More details about what occurred are available on our network outage webpage, including if you want to get in contact or make a complaint. We've also seen some reports of customers receiving calls from fraudsters trying to take advantage of this moment. Please be extra careful of calls you receive from people claiming to be from Telstra. If you're unsure, hang up and call us directly. We take our responsibility as Australia's largest telco extremely seriously. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this, and for the trust you place in us. We don't take it for granted. Vicki Brady, Chief Executive Officer, Telstra๐ท"

Lehmo (@lehmoatlarge) reported@strangerous10 @LNPvoterfail Telstra is the purist definition of the corporatisation of essential services. Itโs not answerable to the public; only its shareholders. Hence we have a problem; and fly by night pollies handwringing isnโt going to fix it..

Cheryl (@Cheryl53111693) reported@andrewrdn463 Put a woman in charge of a company like Telstra and Optus and you can be sure they will **** it up.

ARTCvan ๐ (@ARTCvan) reported@Naymmm_ @stupidtechtakes *actually the governments fault for whatever stupid reason, they forced Telstra/TPG/Optus to do these blanket bans on VoLTE capable devices if they werenโt sold locally for whatever reason
-
wisteria_bloom (@009Bloom) reported@SkyNewsAust Is it true the outrage was due to the technical side of Telstra being handed over to contractor companies in India, and the โTelstraโ mangers who look after this area are also located in India!? There are very few Australians left to work on our own network here is Australia!

Teflo (@teflocarbon) reported@agroasx @Telstra Flexing 23 likes, lmao You do realise that Starlink is severely capacity limited compared to mobile towers, right? It's actually beneficial for the business models of mobile providers if they don't need to run very expensive rural towers to service like 500 customers.

๐๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ณ๐ฆ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ฆ ๐ฆ๐บ (@centrevibe) reported@mettifo79 @Nev92612361 Coal plants are old and costing too much to repair, they are out of operation more and more, gas is expensive thanks to Howard and nuclear was banned to sell Telstra. Renewables are reliable and produce cheaper energy. The wholesale price is going down.
