@TimLooker @ABCaustralia I knew our communications system was down the tube with no stopping it when NBN bought the Copper Wire Network from Telstra and start decommissioning it, we should have had our Copper Network (which served us well) continue to do so along side Fibre etc.

@madwixxy Shes a very stupid woman. No thought of other peoples needs. She was probably trying to get damaging evidence against Telstra

@FetchStep It doesn't work that way inside Telstra. I've worked there. There are so many layers of management it's next to impossible for a technician to speak directly to a CEO about a potential problem. That's my point here. Listen to the technicians & build it with more resilience.

@strangerous10 @LNPvoterfail Telstra is the purist definition of the corporatisation of essential services. It’s not answerable to the public; only its shareholders. Hence we have a problem; and fly by night pollies handwringing isn’t going to fix it..

@therealrukshan @FranMooMoo Throwing Telstra under the bus in a blame game. Any company responds to incentives, not just public lectures. They need to set the incentives better and check for robustness before **** goes wrong. This chick is supposed to be my MP. No chance I’ll vote for her.

@MikeCarlton01 @Telstra Too big to fail...until it does.

@TerenceMcCart14 The government wanted the payphone network preserved for safety reasons, Telstra didn't want to pay to repair damage caused by people breaking open payphones to get coins. Free payphones were the beautiful result.

@OpticommAU Fix FRLG has a tech even been out since this morning? Or 42 homes too small for you? Should be held to the same standard as Telstra. People could have medical phone lines running off their internet ffs

@TonyShepherd4 Unhelpful and wasting SA police & Telstra time. Focus on fixing the problem. Talk to the Telstra workers. What can we do to make the system more robust? May need funding but let's get started on the long-term solution.
