Is there a genuinely helpful reason to receive a pre-recorded call? I keep getting spam calls and they're using other people's phone numbers for their caller ID 0 why can't the telcos crack down on this? - @telstra

  • admiral_th Admiral Trigger Happy (@admiral_th) reported

@Pestily Damn dude, that should be available anywhere. The sad thing is today I got better speeds on my Vodafone 4G (faster than my 5G Telstra right next to it too) on a moving train than I can get at my house!

  • nickjmb nicholas (@nickjmb) reported

@jono_hayward @Telstra At work in Brisbane CBD I was only getting a 3G signal occasionally. And sometimes just one bar of 5G.

@iansambo @AlboMP Agree. But it was inevitable. Telstra owned all the access/ducts. It was the only way forward apart from a complete build. That was never happening for $50Bn let alone $15Bn. Telstra said “have access, but take it all.” Govt had no choice. Suddenly they owned it. Had to use it.

Menindee Lakes — bugger all Optus service out here, and our Telstra modem is too expensive to run full time, so see ya all on the flip side. #RVlife

@VickiPlatt5 It was to fix the issue that Telstra wouldn't get on board even though the fttc caused so many more issues.

  • jdeeXGen Julio D (@jdeeXGen) reported

@Telstra can you PLEASE help me remove message2txt. Called 132200 (as noted to do), couldn't help & passed to tech, 35 mins l8r advised it's disabled, 3hrs later it's still on. Case #23546770. I want VM, but disabling VM On Busy auto enables M2T - I don't want M2T! PLS HELP!

@VickiPlatt5 We have a mate that worked for Telstra for over 30 years. He was taught in trade school that the copper network had a life of 25 years - and that was from the late 60s when it was rolled out en masse. They fully expected a better technology. But we've had to make do and mend.

@Telstra Hey Jax thanks so much for responding. I’m on the phone to someone at the moment and the issue is basically resolved, however I’m not entirely happy with the customer service experience. I’m happy to DM you about the issue with the customer service person’s name :)
