I find another phone number and call it - OMG I get to speak to someone. I explain the situation - the customer service rep says that it’s through the NBN team and there is literally no one at Telstra who can resolve the problem until the morning.

@carolduncan @Telstra Hope @Telstra gets this sorted ASAP. BTW there’s an ongoing issue with the elderly’s phones being replaced by NBN. This cohort may have no computers & no use for the internet, yet must arrange an ISP, get modem installed, VOIP phones etc which is inevitably a difficult exercise

@MoarToast My latest is they say you were in a car accident, I answer no, oh must of been your partner or family member, no, they then hang up! Totally weird, not sure how it turns into a scam.... So much for Telstra stopping them...

@shanselman @kevinrj I do wonder what US carriers do that's so… bad? With a 12 Pro Max (no mmWave) on Telstra in Australia I have had no issues, just faster speeds.

@Telstra As I still haven’t received any form of communication from the complaint team. Can someone confirm if the 24 month was available at the time of my contract and if so why was I told only 36. I don’t think the TBE was followed

@carolduncan @Telstra Hmm not fair that you had to bring it to their attention via Twitter…I hope they fix their customer service for folks that don’t have social media :(

@Telstra Thank you, Jess, but no. I was just pointing out these new "customer service" methods used by Telstra and others are the very opposite of customer service & it has nothing to do with COVID. It's just poor service & now everyone's using COVID as an excuse for it. Not good enough!

@Telstra Hi Greg, The team via the link that Jess sent were absolutely useless. I would explain the issue to be told they would look into it and reply within 1-2 hours, then the next message was from a different person. I went through that 6 times yesterday! (1/2)

Just received a scam call from "@Telstra" about something with my downloads and viruses that they need to fix. I replied: "This doesn't sound like a very-Telstra-like call" They hung up.
