Critics have argued the Labor government is also responsible for the disruptions to Australian's lives as a result of the network outage.

David Marler (@Qldaah) reportedTelstra is a great Australian company to work for. I've worked there. You want Telstra to be the very best. The problem from the worker side is getting those technical improvements up through the layers of management. I suspect this is a factor in the current outage. #auspol

PJ (@Phillip58377964) reported@MikeCarlton01 @Telstra Hmmm well they are descended from the Post Master General in 1975 when they became Telecom, then privatised in 2006 and became Telstra. They haven't really screwed up since that time. Customer service may be abyssmal but the national framework has operated well in a big country.

Mal Peters (@peters_malcolm) reportedTelstra faces outage investigation as expert says legal gaps may let it off- abc The debate when Telstra was privatised was it was a critical piece of Australia’s security, should not be on private hands. This reinforces the case. Thank you Barnaby

Leighton Jenkins 🚴☕ 🇦🇺🏴 (@1stLeighton) reported@MikeCarlton01 @Telstra There is a lot of ignorance in this feed.., I’m not an expert but I know more than the average Joe Telstra has likely got the best technology and infrastructure and IT. Better IMHO that the other full service telcos These networks are incredibly complex 1/2
