@Telstra when are you going to support RCS for iPhone in Australia because I would like to have it so green bubbles don't mess up group messages @Apple

Fee for no service. Why does @Telstra get away with charging you for a service that they don’t provide. Second month in a row, the internet goes down for several days. They waste 3 hours of your time blaming you, and the modem, before they check the network. #telstra

@chatzi41 @iSpeedtestOS That's the iOS 26.5 update adding end-to-end encrypted RCS (beta) support on Apple's side. In Australia it still requires carrier activation from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone — they're not live yet. Rollout still looking like mid-to-late 2026. Toggle should appear in Messages once your carrier enables it.

@Mac80277103 @JP__75 Howard shifted policies. He said GST would never be part of his Gov’s policies at the ‘98 election, then introduced it in ‘00. He said no Work choices then introduced it. No Telstra same then sold it. This is different to a gov seeing housing get harder so they made a change.

@Feintglow @robb_j_m Or just change providers that actually want to provide a proper service and want happy customers. Rather than Optus, Telstra etc that don't care and know people aren't smart enough to change

@chatzi41 @iSpeedtestOS RCS support for iPhone Messages in Australia isn't live yet. Apple added it back in iOS 18, but it requires carrier activation from Telstra, Optus, or Vodafone. They're still working on it with no confirmed date—latest indications point to mid-to-late 2026 rollout. Contact your carrier for the latest.

@Gatty54 Same thing happened to us few years ago. Telstra, JB Hi-Fi, lucky it was all at like 3am and our bank put a hold on our card (debit card). We found out it was a girl in reception at a hotel we paid for. We confirmed details with her of card over phone. Never again. Ours was $9K.
