@Telstra Plug into wall (old style phone) used to work when the power went out, so at least we could report an outage. Telstra tech told me there is no longer back up power at the exchange, so the minute the power goes out, there's no phone.

@Telstra That’s a woeful flick pass of responsibility to a third party provider with obviously little due diligence for the on going concern of Telstra staff. Yeah good on ya, I have never heard of anything like, but you, at Telstra think it’s ok. I fell so comfortable with this scenario.

Telstra seem to be trying to circumvent the complaints process by contacting the customer directly every time the TIO so much as blinks at them, while the TIO process is still very much in progress. My guess is to avoid a recoded outcome & instead tell the TIO they’ve resolved it

@Telstra this always fascinates me. When you ring a Telstra franchise in this case Preston they never pick up and despite making 2 calls have not rung back. You would think a shop selling telephones would have the most sophisticated system for dealing with calls?

@Telstra yep they want that digital ID real bad

@DerekRobinson2 @MichaelWestBiz They aren’t trying to improve their customer base? Telstra here we come with that attitude.

@Telstra Slow enough that every night this week I've had to stop watching SBS on Demand and iview due to it constantly buffering. This is new. Haven't had this problem for years. Just did a test. Download 3.2 Mbps Upload 0.1 Mbps Only 1 user typing to you on Twitter.

The data beach was data held by a third party supplier, so there's your third party risk management failure on Telstra's end. But, crucially, the service they provided was obsolete, so what need did they have for that data?
