@Telstra Is this an Australia wide issue? Parents in NW Tas, their gateway says internet connected, but nothing loads. Is this the cause perhaps? Thanks

@tiredanddisgru1 @FKhnopff @DavidBe53174057 Bs, store, online, products, customer experience all has massively increased from Telecom days. Imagine we had only one, the Monopoly of Telstra, to buy mobile, internet, business services at? Competition offers cheaper, different, better, customer fit services. Make sense?

@Telstra …and now we have to wait a month or two for us to be together and go to a store to change over the plans. I can do it myself as an authorised person but, for the reasons you’ve stated, I need them to be here so we can change the physical SIMs over so as not to lose service. 2/2

@DavidBe53174057 @PhillipQuirk4 … nevertheless, the privatised Telstra was bundled with the wired network in a sweetheart deal during the 1996 sell-off, and this led to two decades of ADSL quality issues due to abuse of the wholesaler-retailer dual identity — basically a monopoly problem … 3/4

@DarkViperAU @Telstra That sucks. At least as you mentioned, they actually admitted it. Is there any chance you might get a discount due to that?

@Telstra Was given the helpful advice of "try again later" and reply back in 24 hours if it still doesn't work. Will be cancelling my account if it doesn't work by that point.

@JordanCJanssen @Telstra We have had this problem with the older people we help in the resource ctr (well over an hours drive to the closest Telstra shop). It is just easier to move them to a different provider, keeping their existing number. Telstra is so awful to deal with, why reward them by staying?

I've used @Telstra for at least 7 years at this point and I've never once done a phone transfer, contract upgrade, replacement, anything without it just failing. Just waiting to see how me transferring eSIM will end up with them sending debt collectors after me again.

@NBN_Australia I have spent 90 mins or more trying to solve a problem that was not mine. This happened because NBN/Telstra are not placing this information on the website. At the moment the NBN link you recommend tells me there are no outages - true - its mega-slow! Poor info provision.
