  Telstra is one company. It is unreliable and not dependable. I would investigate what's really going on inside the company. I've been saying for years that technology, as it is now, is totally unreliable and dangerous when it doesn't work.

  @titchashen Yeah, once upon a time a change like this was tested in a dedicated test & evaluation lab that represented the network, including redundancy, but it looks like now Telstra, but hopefully not other critical service providers, don’t bother. Guess they don’t have test staff anymore

  As per Telstra (Submission No 7.2 to the 000 Inquiry) thus far: - Maintenance work on timing equipment --> Telstra restarts the box. - On restart, the GPS card didn't work as expected because of an intentional design change to fix an earlier issue --> GPS PNT flaw was triggered.

  @Matt_Camenzuli I report to you sleeping in my car using a Telstra pay phone free Internet hotspot. **** is far far far more dire than most wish to wake up to. I see it every night when others are comfy in bed in a home. Far more people are living tough than anyone realises — they ‘come out’ once people ‘go in’ — because otherwise they get told to move on.   Just watching the senate enquiry about the Telstra outage with greens idiot Sarah Hanson Young asking questions that border on stupidity. She’s as thick as ****. Yes Telstra ****** up and you can be sure they’ll be moving heaven and earth to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Get over it
