    @EmergencyBK @Telstra Yep, got one just minutes ago…. Calling to complete the set up of my online trading account. Never contacted before, asked how they got my number. They said that I’d registered. Nope.

    @EmergencyBK @Telstra Many of these calls originate from abroad using number spoofing tech - they appear as a local or Australian mobile number when in fact they are not. There is very little Telstra or any network operator can do about these, unfortunately.

    @Telstra and it was after I instigated a complaint that the text was sent, so I assumed that that was in reponse to my complaint. Typical response from Telstra, of dont blame me, somebody else has made a mistake, with nobody taking responsibility or more importantly solving the problem

    @Telstra @EmergencyBK I don’t know about this person but we are with telstra and for years most days a scammer calls our number-it is without doubt, absolutely infuriating for so many reasons. Some scammers say they are from Telstra others just hang up after you run to the phone thinking it’s family

    @Telstra Hi Jay, These calls don’t leave a message if don’t answer and hang up within a few seconds when I do If I call the back the number doesn’t work/exist or they’ve hijacked someone else’s number to display Surely Telstra can do more to identify the misuse of your own system

    @DocB__ @Telstra Not always Can have a number not in use/disconnected to display on your screen hijack an in use (someone else’s number) to display had one call, display interstate number/hang up, 2 mins later, call from number displaying as in my LGA with recorded ‘you’ve Amazon debt’ crap

    @Telstra after an hour with customer service it is apparently impossible to connect a Telstra Account with a Telstra ID cause during the creation of the ID they didn't link so now I have to wait 3 days for it to be deleted so I can remake it and i p much have no internet til then 😬

    Well, well #TelstraDay I just received what can only be described as the shonkiest call for ages. Mobile no; prerecorded msg. Says my Telstra internet will be out for 24 hrs - but if I want to rectify this, press (x). See what stupid marketing does? Also - I don’t use Telstra

    @aussiekerstin @Telstra Similar Kersti, it’s constant and infuriating & surely more can be done to identify and curb the abuse of their own system & never ending interruptions when busy elsewhere, waiting important call and more
