And look at the profits in a cost-of-living crisis, ay. Whose cost of living ?? When do we adjust the books ay ?? @Telstra been with you lot for over 10 years at my address... not once have you even given me a router upgrade or checked if I'm on the best plan... where's your loyalty, ay ?? Speaking as an Aussie who's regional and driving 15 minutes any direction from my town has the service drop out, I love my Starlink. People in my town love Starlink. I hate Telstra. Cost a fortune and offer very little back.

The Commonwealth had NET debt after selling our gold and major assets like Telstra. Australia still had significant state debt. Major contributors included: →Selling public assets (privatisations), most notably the government's remaining stake in Telstra, which raised tens of billions of dollars. →Strong economic growth during the mining boom, which boosted tax revenues. →A long period without major recessions or global crises until the GFC. Why would anyone pay Telstra prices or why would Telstra keep investing billions in regional coverage if customers can buy the cheapest network then use Telstra whenever theirs fails? Emergency roaming makes sense. Forcing the company that built the better network to subsidise competitors who didn’t is how you eventually end up with nobody investing in the better network.

My personal I pad and my work I pad both with cellular connections with Telstra never received a text at all or picked up on my phone receiving the message but no alarm. My Fitbit that gets all my texts didn’t get the text.
