@Jason______A @the_don1722 The difference will be the level of support you get etc. have similar setups here where telstra (t mobile in Aus) own budget mobile companies. And you get pretty much the same package for much cheaper but lose access to their support etc.

Switched home internet providers cause Telstra were actually insane lmao but now when connected to my AGL wifi it doesn't let me watch any NBA on my NBA app and this message just shows up. I have tried trouble shooting it and I've even ventured onto Reddit for help but nothing works 😩🥴 I literally pay a yearly fee to watch NBA games so not sure why they're cockblocking me! I've turned VPN **** off and on. I can watch when my wifi is off still 😣

@TurboDungstorm @taipan168 Worst part is they still think Telstra is the most evil player in the game. (Although slightly less evil since they got rid of that pesky Yankee Sol Trujillo 🙄)

@belinduhpyne There was little left to sell after Hawke and Keating sold federal and state assets in their Privatisation rampage. Key assets sold under the Hawke government included: The Commonwealth Bank of Australia Qantas Telstra CSL These sales were part of a broader strategy that also involved floating the Australian dollar, deregulating financial markets, and dismantling the tariff system. While critics argued this abandoned traditional Labor values and contributed to issues like increased household debt, supporters view these reforms as essential modernizations that 'strengthened' the Australian economy. We're real strong now eh?

@deepwebslinger Based on a search of current news and reports as of April 2026, there is no evidence to support the claim that "tel" (a common abbreviation for Telstra or similar entities) has pink-slipped over 20,000 workers The statement appears to be fabricated or based on misinformation
