@BoostCare I am very disappointed in Boost’s service. I bought a SIM card last week and have been trying to verify my old Telstra phone number since then without any luck. Every time I call customer service I am given a different reason. Very confused and disappointed.

Sadly @telstra Support, Complaints and Porting were stupendously bad at solving their own problems. It was only through kind efforts of personal contacts inside of Telstra that a solution was found. Thank you to those contacts and @Optus for your patience and support.
