  @LisaLemon09 I worked for Telstra for a long time and in my experience nearly every major issue was caused by updates being tested in a lab with 10 services and then getting rolled out to 20,000 plus subscribers. It was nearly always inadequate testing.

  Anika Wells’ claim 'the industry must learn from its mistakes' following a damning report into the catastrophic Telstra outage is not good enough.  The collapse of Telstra’s mobile network on 8 July this year caused chaos with payment systems, shut down train networks, and stopped some people calling triple zero. Mobile telecommunications networks are critical infrastructure.  That is why, on the day of the outage, the Coalition called on the government to urgently deliver mobile network reliability standards.  There must be appropriate minimum standards in place governing the reliability, performance, and maintenance of our mobile networks with significant penalties when those standards are breached.  Asking telcos to 'rebuild trust with Australians by ensuring networks do not succumb to preventable failures’, as the minister stated today, is like hitting the telcos with a piece of wet lettuce.  The minister’s silence on the need for a tougher regulatory framework is deafening.

  @Telstra I’ve been receiving account text alerts including their name and phone number relating to one of your customers for over a year. Prob a privacy issue but you refuse to fix it despite MANY calls and yr team acknowledging the issue!

  But you get a whoops when your service goes down. You ever order a pizza and the shop takes a slice out and says can't help it? That's what Telstra is. And look at the profits in a cost-of-living crisis, ay. Whose cost of living ?? When do we adjust the books ay ?? @Telstra been with you lot for over 10 years at my address... not once have you even given me a router upgrade or checked if I'm on the best plan... where's your loyalty, ay ??   @MrRexPatrick Am amazed you have internet access, must be Starlink?? One of my gripes travelling out there is when there is a Telstra signal, but being on their network with another provider and it does not work.
