  @Buccoatthecat @RouleurCapital @DHughesy Yes we get to vote them out periodically. We get a say Can I vote out Telstra & use a rival 000 service when they screw up. The energy infrastructure is owned by 1 priv company in SA. They dictate charges. The public cant just simply not buy ( energy ) what they are offering🤷

  I have some great stories regarding this while working for Telstra/Belong many years ago regarding the establishment of Telstra's 'Centre of Excellence' i.e. The Cut Salaries By 94% Factory. It destroyed 90% of non-binary customer service jobs based in Melbourne, plunging the Adventure Time fan-community of the city in to technical recession. It was a tale for the ages that I once posted and shortly after had to remove due to it's potentially defamatory nature. I'll post it again one day, but you'd have to DM me and swear to secrecy otherwise.

  @JohnOSullivan36 @MichaelWestBiz @MichaelPascoe01 I was hacked this week by a Telstra scam. Thankfully my Bank locked my Acs but I have used the entire week changing drivers licence, Medicare ,etc. 2 x200 k trips to Phone Dr for cleaning. I knew I should hang up but they had every base covered. It has knocked my confidence.

  Seems perfectly legit, reward people for failures …. 🙄 Telstra has paid its chief executive, Vicki Brady, $6.8m for the year ending in June, after docking 20% of her bonus in response to the network’s nationwide outage in July. The company reported financial results on Thursday. Its board met on Monday and decided to cut Brady’s bonus by $607,000 – but she still took home a $700,000 pay rise as she was awarded a total of $6.1m the year before.

  @DHughesy And how did they get debt down? Asset Sales. Sold off Telstra. Sold off the Commonwealth Bank. Sold off Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra Airports. Sold off Australian National Railway Assets. Not to mention the the two thirds of our gold reserves they sold.

  @susanmandrews RA seems to be taking quite a unique approach to the women’s rugby program. We have all been through it. Unless it is a significant issue which requires an apology eg Optus/Telstra outages, just put out a holding statement & some spin. RA is lucky not much media interest in rugby
