Rob Ryan (@Berts_Folly) reported@winty1976 @blowingtom2 @Kerrynne_Liddle It's odds on that many Telstra executives face serious questions about the outage. People 'test driving' or other 000 emergency system indiscretions will inevitably attract scrutiny during this period.

Leigh Wintershoven (@winty1976) reported@blowingtom2 @Kerrynne_Liddle What are the odds Sarah Henderson never contacted anyone high up at Telstra like she claimed either?

Lights On The Hill (@inandaway) reported@mackaysuzie “Brady said that for a 1100-kilometre cable connecting Syd, Melb, Canberra Telstra needed to issue: *3000 land access activity notices *1700 land access surveys *1100 construction certificate notices *171 cultural heritage and environmental surveys”

David Marler (@Qldaah) reported@TonyShepherd4 Unhelpful and wasting SA police & Telstra time. Focus on fixing the problem. Talk to the Telstra workers. What can we do to make the system more robust? May need funding but let's get started on the long-term solution.

Savas (@savasmelb) reportedNeil fled the country despite footage showing him near Telstra infrastructure. What role did Neil have to play in the outage? The public has a right to know!

Rebel News Australia (@RebelNews_AU) reported🚨 Labor Government Says It’s Time for Telstra to ‘Face the Music’ for Not Putting Australians First Communications Minister Anika Wells said the Labor government will hold Telstra to account following a network outage that she said had made the last few days “really difficult for many Australians.” She said Telstra must demonstrate it is reliable and puts Australians first. Critics have argued the Labor government is also responsible for the disruptions to Australian's lives as a result of the network outage.

Humpy (@sirhumpyAU) reported@tim_blee The 000 system is antiquated, Telstra gets about $20 million a year from running it. Labor has updated the emergency alert system, which will be tested later this month. Someone should ask Henderson why they didn't do anything to improve 000 tech in their decade of government

PJ (@Phillip58377964) reported@MikeCarlton01 @Telstra Hmmm well they are descended from the Post Master General in 1975 when they became Telecom, then privatised in 2006 and became Telstra. They haven't really screwed up since that time. Customer service may be abyssmal but the national framework has operated well in a big country.

Radio Australis (@freedom4UU) reportedI'm a big fan of StarLink and have a mini as I'm part of the mobile community in Australia. With the mini mounted on my roof rack I stay connect on the road 24/7 no matter what. Because Telstra in particular have been regressive in the 4G space in country Australia. "LACK OF COVERAGE" But, I haven't put all my eggs in one basket. I still use a sim card router in areas with decent mobile coverage. It helps keep the cost down. It will be interesting when SpaceX have their mobile phone satellites up and running. Hopefully it will put pressure on current telcos to reduce their over charging. Right Telstra?
