@GaRudan_S I was giving an example of Ukrain yesterday to someone that see how they installed satellite internet from Starlink under pressure. Otherwise it would have taken them years. I want to find out a better alternative to satellite internet as it will create a lot of physical problems

@kartheek_7 @RealDrewColin @KatyaYushchenko No. At some point, which does not concern poor people, the question is whether all that wealth is legal. Oligarchs earned their money not by inventing SpaceX and Starlink and Tesla, or Macs and iPhones. The keyword is corruption, financial and moral.

@FedorovMykhailo @elonmusk Amazing work by @elonmusk thousands of people will have access to internet to help get truth out. I wish you could arrange for Yemen to have access to starlink for reliable safe internet access. Our net is highly monitored and censored and half the time it’s like dial up.

@WhiteNervosa @SpicyBigDaddyTW As far as I understand, starlink on the ground requires a receiver dish. You can buy one yourself, but the ones Ukraine recieved will be retranslating to whole districts using local cable networks. Take out the dish, no signal everywhere.

@russ1mitchell 1/2 Russ, I wonder what you want him to do, and why it's considered a "BS campaign"? A Ukranian official asked him for starlink. He responds that they've activated service and will send terminals. Then replies again that terminals are on their way. And the next day they arrive.

@gonnabechef @JediCounselor @NikkiHaley I can see the usage of EV's for city people, but I also see a need for more efficient fuels to be used. And those outside the city wont switch as a standard because it's just to unreliable. Hell, My property doesn't even have cell service or internet unless I am on Starlink.

@russ1mitchell This seems like a strawman. Musk didn't insert himself into the war, the VP of Ukraine did by begging him for Starlink. He simply responded, turned it on, and sent terminals. No over the top PR pitch or grandiosity from Musk, no pledge "to fix" Ukrainian comm, pretty toned down.

@_JustinMoon_ @moneyball This is very capital inefficient imo since it can't route due to energy and availability constraints (while on the move starlink doesn't work afaik). Why would a peer keep a comparatively inactive channel open? Either route enough or pay them.

@BriannaWu I’ve used starlink for a year without issue. Maybe a brief outage of 10-15 seconds, maybe only a handful of times. It works. Simple as that. I will say the wifi signal that comes from the starlink router isn’t very strong; but simply fixed by adding a robust router to it…

So, Elon Musk could get StarLink Systems to Ukraine in 48 hours but the EU is so bogged down in bureaucracy that Ukraine will be beyond helping when their supplies arrive. I hope I am wrong, but that is how it's looking.
