Starlink Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • hotte_ken Sigma10 (@hotte_ken) reported

@OffWorldBound The issue is that it could easily be a earth orbit satellite with high (enough) reflection. Eg, a starlink satellite, which would repeat, in the exact same spot/line of travel, 4 minutes later. Or one of the other XX,XXX satellites that surround the planet.

  • yolo5516 yolo55 (@yolo5516) reported

@Xaliuss @magictouch190 They do track a lot of stuff: it's openly said, the feed by those aircraft is actually the biggest resource, Ukraine received together with Starlink. That is exactly the problem, both sides' aviation sucks in this war. They could very well stay grounded, no one would miss them

  • bugs_bhargava Diwali2022@Karachi🇮🇳 (@bugs_bhargava) reported

China allegedly plans to deploy a swarm of 13,000 satellites in low Earth orbit to compete with Elon Musk's Starlink. #interesting Will they shut down the #internet ?? #timewilltell

  • ca4trx Olu 👤 (@ca4trx) reported

Streets are saying Starlink is fugazi and slow asf..Hmmm

  • HMonyeh Henry Monyeh (@HMonyeh) reported

Since network is part of what is affecting this bivas and results thing why not try starlink @inecnigeria . Let's even use the election to valid the speed they said it has....

  • mrkellywright Kelly Wright (@mrkellywright) reported

@alexmorrisut @fermerzpolissia Yeah, we know how much Ukraine hates him b/c he gives $20mil a month to support their use of Starlink. btw, no other contractors give anything away for free. A prime example of Ukrainian gratitude

  • Ejolaa Austine Ejola (@Ejolaa) reported

@FinPlanKaluAja1 If we agree that starlink can work everywhere in Nigeria. Inec should be considering going e-voting. It will cost less than a 100b to acquire one unit for all polling booths. Assuming N500k per unit. The issue of internet connection will a non issue.

  • meff_666 Sebastian Wasilewski (@meff_666) reported

@SpaceX Nice, but starlink is still too expensive for me, gotta use the 4g/lte and deal with it as its slow when many people use it (no alternative options)

  • haryour_samuel Sam (@haryour_samuel) reported

@chijoc1 Network.... Maybe next one if they can have partnership with starlink

  • Kimbroughski Adam (N4ADK) (@Kimbroughski) reported

@fund_investing @trengriffin I think one distinction to be made b/w current LEO constellations (basically Starlink) and MEO/GEO systems is the ability to deliver uncontended service versus best-effort service.

  • 13ericralph31 Eric Ralph (@13ericralph31) reported

Huge deal, as this represents yet another major improvement to the cost-effectiveness of Starlink network expansion. The real question is how much each V2 Mini satellite will cost.

  • pascualmiii Pascual Marquez  (@pascualmiii) reported

@SilvermanJacob Ukraine getting their starlink service covered by spacex isn't helping. Seems like a constant drain of funds and the new trend is to become a degrading reporter cause there's nothing else one can do to save the twitter assets.

  • mrpaper2 President Skroob (@mrpaper2) reported

@JoeBiden Why do Americans pay Elon Musk more for starlink internet service than they charge people in other countries? Don’t and didn’t out tax dollars fund SpaceX

  • CoolMaster312 Cool Master (@CoolMaster312) reported

@CXCarroll @ElbridgeColby So US side wants to believe. Is it possible TianGong is a battle station w energy beam weapons? Much more powerful in space vs thru air. See CN's idea to knock out Starlink network w 18,000 mini-sats? Thru decades of coopted POTUS's, we let CCP steal too much adv technologies

  • abf_mo ABF Mo⭐ (@abf_mo) reported

@SpaceX @elonmus When will the service be available for Starlink in the Arab world, specifically in Saudi Arabia?

  • incognito888884 incognito88888 (@incognito888884) reported

@thinking_panda Starlink must shoot down as GPS

  • arndt_konrad Konrad A. (@arndt_konrad) reported

@apmassaro3 This Elon-bashing is not a good idea. If he shuts down starlink for the UA armed forces, they will be in serious trouble. And I truly believe he could do that, if he feels offended. He's a narcissist. Tell him, he's a great guy and that's it.

  • fahrIehrer Günther 🚘 (@fahrIehrer) reported

@sai_puzich @apmassaro3 People like you make me think Ukraine doesn’t deserve Elon (Starlink), but I’m sure there are more people in Ukraine who appreciate his help than hate him like an idiot.

  • drFrost_catcher Light Lord 🇺🇸🇳🇬 (@drFrost_catcher) reported

@EmmaCSI @geekly_cool With starlink, that problem is solved. We can always be innovators, we don’t have to wait for the western world to lead the way. Since thumb printing has refused to work, we have to innovate.

  • LeoOkosun Leo NG (@LeoOkosun) reported

But why did INEC not use the #Starlink network for this elections

  • kamisan1989 Musashi Kami (@kamisan1989) reported

@MorbiusDevo Thinking about it, if Elon didn't want to support Ukraine anymore, he could just turn off Starlink.

  • TheSteinLee Alien Saiyan (@TheSteinLee) reported

@4StarboyymiEezy @inecnigeria It’s funny really. There are lots of new tech that’s supposed to make elections easier to conduct. See starlink for example, swift internet service is guaranteed with it but still, inec staff were faced with poor network issues cause they think to get it.

  • akadazzle1 akadazzle (@akadazzle1) reported

@inecnigeria You dey whine me. You never heard of Starlink? It's either you've been hacked or cooking the common man result. We are waiting.

  • _Shartzy_ Chief 👑 (@_Shartzy_) reported

No internet for social media in the north. But enough signal strength for election results to be uploaded in no time. I'm sure the PU in the north use Starlink.

  • MialovesSpace Mia Blum (@MialovesSpace) reported

@SpaceX I’ve never seen what Starlink looks like. It is basically drones. So cool!

  • BrazilMacker Brian Macker (@BrazilMacker) reported

@MuesforMontana You are "in direct comms with those in Afghanistan"? How? Using Elon Musk's $100M plus in donated Starlink technology. Musk the guy who said we should never let Putin have Ukraine, challeged Putin to 1 on 1 combat, and called Putin a nuke danger. Apologize to Musk. NOW!

  • antivatnik3 не Евгений Ройзман (@antivatnik3) reported

@apmassaro3 Also for the two past weeks #Starlink terminals at the front line having an issue to start. This process taking at least 20 minutes. This is clearly a diversion from eblan muskovite.

@cinenoor @DrEricDing Can you provide a source for the claim that Starlink services have been shut down? Afaik they've only limited the usage for combat drones and I wouldn't be surprised if that move was merely part of negotiation tactics.
