Have a weird problem. On one starlink account, both my stanbic card and wise are working for monthly payments. On the other account both the same cards are refusing to make payments. Anyone encountered such? @WillarShoko

@Starlink Order your solution to remote connectivity ... online?

  • Jonas435753 Jo (@Jonas435753) reported

@Nikki_Mateo19 @Starlink Fiber people refuse to do remote areas, because it is not cost effective to lay down miles of cables for just one property. No camping place in the mountains or woods have signal! Most people do use internet while camping (play music of a speaker and so on)

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

@Starlink @grok Starlink's upload speed is typically around 10 Mbps, as per official claims. User reports vary, often citing 5-20 Mbps, with some hitting 50 Mbps in ideal conditions. Speeds depend on location, weather, and network congestion. For basic tasks like video calls, 10 Mbps is usually sufficient, but heavy uploads may face limitations.

@AlexkennedyIran I'm glad they are okay. The internet shutdown does not help. I hope starlink will spread so we can hear about our families more often

Ndeipi, i have seen a similar issue once, this can easily be verified on the billing section and PoP and can easily be fixed by Starlink support by submitting a ticket. You can ask the handler to assist with the login details or they can create an additional user so that you can logon and check payments and verify

  • Luckyday7762744 TT (@Luckyday7762744) reported

No internet is available across all of Iran. Elon Musk has activated the Starlink network for Iranians, but people need to have the Starlink device. Only a few have access to this device because it is banned in Iran, and anyone caught with it is imprisoned.

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

There is no definitive evidence of widespread power outages in Iran as of June 20, 2025, but the country has faced electricity shortages in the past. If power is unavailable, Starlink kits could use solar panels or batteries, as you suggested, to operate. However, many Iranians may lack these kits, and distribution during a blackout could be challenging. Starlink is active in Iran, but its effectiveness depends on addressing power and logistical issues.

I can't factory reset my starlink router (gen 2). It says try power cycle reset, unplug and plug the power back 6 times until the LED light turns white. But mine still turns blue. I already sent the support ticket but still no respond. @Starlink

@kdwest23 @YouTube because they are orbiting the planet by the shitload, especially with starlink and more megaconstellations coming online. Sure its not "Common knowledge" that undersea cables handle the vast majority of global comms but it was never something that was hidden.

  • Intelligencer41 The Intelligencer (@Intelligencer41) reported

@IsraelWarRoom @netblocks Iran's blackout exposes regime weakness. Starlink use signals holes in control—US should arm dissidents with secure comms. Monitor footage for real-time intel, map Starlink nodes, exploit unrest to pressure Tehran.

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

The Starship 36 explosion likely cost SpaceX ~$90M, potentially offset by insurance, a small fraction of their $15.5B 2025 revenue. Impact on quarterly earnings is unclear due to private status, but diverse income from launches ($5.5B) and Starlink ($7.7B) suggests resilience. Net income isn’t public; heavy R&D may limit profits. SpaceX is funded by $9.7B from investors and Musk’s contributions, with no current need for more funding, indicating stability.

  • xcroller_ X Scroller (@xcroller_) reported

@cb_doge Jio is a huge success becoz, they took a pure 7 month profit hit by providing free internet to create a huge customer base. Starlink does not need to do that. Pricing is the only game. If you can't bring cheaper plans at least don't overpriced them. We have great expectations

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

To connect to Starlink in Iran, use an LTE-compatible smartphone (most from the last 4 years work) with a clear sky view. No dish or app is needed; it should connect automatically when ground signals are unavailable, as Starlink's direct-to-cell service is active in Iran since June 2025. No specific guide exists, as it's designed to be seamless. Cost is unclear—typically, Starlink charges ~$110/month, but it might be free due to the humanitarian crisis. No official confirmation exists, so check for updates.

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

Starlink's direct-to-cell feature uses satellites as space-based cell towers, connecting to standard LTE phones for texting, with voice and data planned for 2025. To connect without a dish, use a compatible LTE phone with a clear sky view; no special apps or hardware are needed. The service isn't exclusive to Iran—it's rolling out globally, with beta testing in the U.S. via T-Mobile. In Iran, it's active to bypass internet blackouts but is illegal, posing risks. Global availability is expanding, though Iran's use faces legal and technical challenges.

@sagarhbk321 @senyora2025 That’s just vendor deal for starlink’s broadband network. Vi and Ast have ******* for mobile connectivity. Jio and Airtel have that as well separately. You are writing with either zero knowledge or to mislead

@Starlink Just so you know, it makes zero sense that an already existing customer is being told they can't reactivate due to capacity

  • Ifunanya_Vivy Ifunanya Vivian Ugwuoke 💙 (@Ifunanya_Vivy) reported

@reclaimfi @IkonoCatherine I can't afford starlink. I have MTN and Airtel 4g routers and they are still slow. So I'm so confused

  • riftron_ Rifath Shaarook (@riftron_) reported

There are certain data points which already syncs to cloud via satellite but black box contains 1000s of parameters at a very high frequency and gotta work even while there’s no coverage which all makes the traditional satellite systems not suitable, starlink might help once it gets widely adopted. On the other hand, it takes few seconds to process and upload data from the node to ground so you might loose fast few seconds of data when something goes wrong and most the time they key data u r looking for is last moments. But yeah there definitely could innovation happen.

@jodowning11001 @Starlink @month I just got ours installed this morning. Installation is easy, and setup was even easier. Working great so far. I will be dropping my other provider soon due to their unreliable service.

  • Arnoldsdesign Brad Arnold (@Arnoldsdesign) reported

@jodowning11001 @Starlink @month You can, but it's the roam plan. You're limited to 50gb/mo, but that's not a problem for some. We don't use 50.

  • TJ12378 T J (@TJ12378) reported

@rodabahman @NiohBerg Starlink can enable direct to phone service to skip the need for dish.

  • SudhirN94847744 KnowledgeX (@SudhirN94847744) reported

@cb_doge India has a population of around 1.4 billion with very high percentage of mobile users. Starlink stands to gain handsomely and hopefully push existing service providers to improve their services and offer competitive pricing.
