There will always be failures, those don't define people, it's the successes that do. Imagine being afraid to do experiments because you'll fail... You know - science.

@david_hemond 2/Teslas had own cell phone link within cars. Now going to Musk Starlink satellite service. Question is, can you *turn off* that service and run your car independently of Tesla? I don't know.

@SpaceX Starlink changed my life! Lived in a connectivity 'desert' with DSL. Tried HugesNet which was horrible. With Starlink, all our devices (phones, smart TVs, computers) now do what they were intended to do without constant buffering and slow signals! The best ever!

Rare price drop in this age of inflation: Starlink (broadband) falls to €65 per month, down from €85. €300 hardware/installation is also cheaper than previous €450. Obviously still nowhere near as good/reliable as fibre, cable etc. But even still, if it’s your only option…

@AnnRolle_ @AHousefather @CBC Starlink is useless! I paid a deposit over 2 years ago! Still no service. I requested a deposit refund. They say it was processed immediately. I still don't have it one month later! No one to talk to at Starlink Customer Service! What a scam!

@SciFi_Techno @GailAlfarATX @SpaceX Latency is a red herring which is needed only for gamers. For most people - overwhelming majority -latency is not an issue. Bandwidth is more important. Reliability, i.e., no dropouts, under all circumstances is even more important. Cost is the most important. Starlink fails.

I think that Starlink will be good, probably 8/10, but by no means perfect and it will have the same problems that other Gamebryo games had: bugs. Tons of bugs.

Have they tested it out has a impact on migratory animals both birds and aquatic life? He is planning to send up 42.000 of them, and spacetrash?

I'll tell you a secret. Prob not a secret anymore I've been on starlink for awhile and completely switched over. Pros: all Cons:. MS Outlook. I have to fake it out continually. Microsoft hates Starlink and they built in **** yous.

@JeffreyHarmon @MrHodl What I’d rather do is hunker down in a very specific community. Balaji calls it a Network State, virtual first then physical. Ayn Rand called it Galt’s Gulch. In a world of Starlink internet, we work from anywhere, and people of like mind can gather, maybe lower their anxiety.

Man @breezeline is doing a great job of keeping @SpaceXStarlink getting my money... every time I think my cable is better and considering canceling Starlink seems @breezeline has another major outage with no ETAs on how many hours/days to fix.

Surely someone should be making the case for the public purse & can take into account the contract signed (which would’ve been aware of emergent tech.
