Optus is sending emails to those that have been affected by the massive hack. The email reads: “Dear Customer” Don’t they have our names in a database? #optus

Got an email from OPTUS .It says "we can confirm that the licence number on your Driver Licence was exposed. Please note, a copy of your Photo ID was not exposed." Does Photo ID mean DL itself or passport as well? VicRoads site is down currently .@Optus @VicRoads

@ParamountPlusAU It's just overall a very poor platform. It's not even like you need to invent anything, just ask optus sport how it's done. Beyond belief really.

@gremren_ @artofgnomes They made an announcement last week that it'll be a free service to change the licence number as long as you let them know. I'm waiting for Optus to let me know I'm directly affected too....

@BilboBa77842165 I used to be an Optus customer BUT don't know if my details were compromised mainly because I have a new email address and also Phone number. So how would they be able to tell me. Apart from writing Snail mail?

Just got confirmation from #Optus that my licence number was exposed. Vicroads have already confirmed their action on my licence before Optus got around to contacting. Really poor, #Optus. Customers and governments really left to do it all.

@ktdenise Just think, you now get the privilege of lining up for hours just to get a new number. Dont see why @Optus dont just give the exposed licence numbers to state authorities & they just issue & post out new ones rather than have every poor bastard lining up for hours.
