@NewtonMark if only Optus employed people with good English things wouldn't have got this bad - just another corporation

  • PolarVan Marcus Van - BLM 🇺🇦😷 (@PolarVan) reported

@AlboMP How about Parliament focus on what it can do to mitigate the damage and try to prevent a recurrence of the Optus data breach affection up to 2million Aussies?

  • DaleHof1234 Dale, fangirling PRGuy. Always. 🌈 (@DaleHof1234) reported

Huge sigh of relief because I was with them before this date. The Guardian: "Optus customers dating back to 2017 may be caught up in the massive hack of the telco’s customer database, the company’s CEO has revealed."

  • BertKA88 Kevin (@BertKA88) reported

My own company sent us an email about the @Optus data breach and what to be aware of before I’ve even heard from Optus. The comms from Optus is piss poor. Even if I’m not affected, at least email us or something to let us know what has occurred.

  • arielbogle Ariel Bogle (@arielbogle) reported

Just on the Optus press call about the hack. Disappointing but perhaps not surprising that media questions about how the company stores customer data, especially ID data, were not put to the CEO.

  • ShpongledHard One More Beer (@ShpongledHard) reported

Imagine the meeting that this line of attack came from lmao "we need to appeal to nationalism and defense to get pressure on the government to save us and make people think this isn't simply an Optus Problem"

  • LowmanX Socialist Cat (@LowmanX) reported

@Optus No, should have AT LEAST emailed/texted ALL customers about the breach and then given instructions on what they needed to do - eg. change passwords, keep an eye on any odd account activity, shared info on credit check bans etc. For a comms company Optus really sucks at comms.

  • strangerous10 stranger (@strangerous10) reported

Optus CEO says the Nation also bares responsibility to fix her company’s massive data breach: “We don’t yet know who these attackers are & what they want to do with this information, which is why we really need a Team Australia response.” WTAF? 😳

  • 1stuart_murray Stuart Murray (@1stuart_murray) reported

@trevorlong Do you think it will also impact third party users of the Optus network I.e Dodo, Catch etc. or do you think all that data would be held on the third parties systems that hasn’t been hacked (hopefully)

  • FixTechStuff1 FixTechStuff (@FixTechStuff1) reported

"If you are an Optus customer your name, date of birth, phone number, email addresses... " including some customers "driver’s licence or passport numbers could be in the hands of criminals."
