Help! The #Optus hack has led to a #PayPal hack which is blocking me from logging in to PayPal as the hacker has changed my acct to an Authenticator login. All attempts to login and inform PayPal now are dead end! #Westpac informed - $500 blocked. Only the beginning!

@Optus Our identity has been stolen and due to Optus’s failure to advise its customers straight away we are at further risk of identify theft. I feel like I can’t trust Kelly’s poor statement and apology and that our financial details were not compromised as well. Trust has been broken!

Seems my phone company Optus has been hacked so if you are being trolled or asked for money by me then you know that’s normal, but if there are stupid memes posted then I’ve been hacked

So after 36(?) hours, @optus still hasn't bothered to communicate directly with its customer base. It won't stop my identity being repurposed but I'm glad the Vodafone Sim I ordered on Tuesday is arriving today

@Optus this is not a small breach. It's not a matter for your customers to "check their accounts" because the leaked information will allow new accounts to be created and it may be years until I know how much damage this leak has caused.

@sophie_walsh9 @9NewsSyd I can't ask questions - NFI why - can you? Can you ask Has Optus directly contacted any of the customers affected by this breach? Customer Care chat agents are saying customers have been contacted, yet we’ve not found any - how many have been contacted?

@Optus Yep. What a surprise. Radio silence. No response. Now I need to ensure my life’s not compromised because you can’t keep incredibly important personal information secure and don’t stop it before the hackers have downloaded 90% of your customer database. Well done you guys!
