    @TruthdriverOn @AlboMP Why should taxpayers pay for what is ostensibly a corporations’ failure? Have you offered to pay for those affected? State and Fed govt should issue new IDs for those affected with all legitimate costs to be recouped by govts from Optus. This has nothing to do with foreign aid 🙄

    @HailMarxism It was know when I was a maintenance engineer for Optus, that we were referred to as ABO's. Air Breathing Overheads. Furthermore in an effort to reduce maintenance costs further we were told routine maintenance checks never prevented faults. Goes to attitude to problem prevention

    @JamesCridland @Optus They had years to fix this well known within the company, mess. Optus pressured LNP against strong data protection laws. #OptusFail They're failing now to handle it. Customers not getting support from them.

    @drvyom I haven't heard anything from Optus directly. That doesn't mean anything except they haven't contacted me. I don't trust their security or their competence. Any Optus customer has to assume all of our data is now in the public domain.

    The fact that every piece of my ID has been taken because of Optus is despicable. Emails, social media’s, passports, license, address, phone number, take.. what a joke. There better be compensation for this. I want the renewal of all my ID paid for. **** y’all.

We are now relying on Optus, who have given various stories of how this breach happened, to be honest with & tell people their personal details were stolen. Seeing Optus have to reimburse states for the new IDs, they don't have much incentive to be honest

    @ClareONeilMP definitly i will be gone from optus even if i pay big penalty for services to little to late got email of exposed id and all cant trust and have no money due to health issues pay new passport or driver licence in vict

    @AmyRemeikis I’d been with Virgin mobile since about 2005 and was ported over to Optus about 4 yrs ago when they ditched Virgin. I’ve never directly given Optus any of my details and don’t use their app and I still got caught up in it! It’s complete BS 🤬
