    optus in damage control tonight this is why i never go with big tech companies anymore they all have big issues always some sort of data breaches going on, slow internet speeds/outages due to high congestion (cvc).

    @dimebagshreds @Optus the sim is directly connected to the phone, the issue is sim swapping when all your personal information has been breached. Keep your CBA login details secure and make sure your password is strong and unique to combank. Get an app like OnePassword to hold all these securely

    @OAICgov @Optus Where ******** are the penalties for the C-suite? How is this not an existential threat for a company that mishandles the security of PII? I say this as a CISO. Regulations and regulators need teeth. Make Australian companies scared shitless of mishandling PII. Of leaking data.

    Someone needs to ask #Optus exactly when this cyberattack took place. Because hackers/scammers from Basque were already in possession of this stolen customer data as early as the 25th August. 4 weeks ago. How long has customer data been compromised for, @Optus?
