@9NewsAUS Someone used my details to buy iphones from optus and open an account in my name a year or 2 ago. Went to buy a house, bad credit rating for bills in my name I had no idea existed. I don't think @Optus is a new thing.

Can you please respond to the affected members of the state regarding the Optus hacking debacle. People need reassurance that you will support us in Qld to change licence numbers quickly and easily to mitigate being defrauded in a situation not of our doing. @AnnastaciaMP @TMRQld

@civilized____ We’ll never know. Optus paid, 3rd party purchased with non disclosure arrangement, the pressure got too much, lots of possibilities.

@ClareONeilMP Minister, I was canceling my Optus account today & there was resistance from the loyalty team. I was asked to cancel in early Oct, the reason being that the individual staff cancellation score is getting too high and therefore affects their wage. This is how Optus treats staff.

@6NewsAU @Leo_Puglisi6 Sounds to me like Optus paid up with a caveat that the hacker needed to: 1. Deny Optus ever paid. 2. Delete the data. 3. Apologise and say hacking is bad.
