@Optus @RunnerSA18 I've received an email saying my data has been hacked! Where the fk is the communication & reimbursement from Optus? And yeah I'm fkn pissed, your talking about my personal god damn information out their for the world to see 🤬 fkn useless Optus.

  • moylecroft Matthew Moyle-Croft (@moylecroft) reported

@Dannyjboom Blockchain is a link list posing as a database. The Optus problem was an unauthenticated API to a database connected to the internet. Swapping out the DB for another literally won’t make things better.

  • Time_Bandit007 Howling Moose (@Time_Bandit007) reported

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Not good enough, you are legally responsible for the security of all of your customers accounts. Make sure that ransom is paid, or face a class action from aprox 10 million customers and alternatively lot more than the ransom money of you fail.

  • rajbandi Raj Bandi (@rajbandi) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk I was Optus customer for many years. I knew it something wrong with their data access and changed provider recently. How stupid it was to expose api without proper credentials and store them as clear data and easily queryable. Also no api limits enforced.

  • TarynAnne5 Taryn (@TarynAnne5) reported

**** just got an email from Optus ..this is bad apparently a lot of info obtained by the hackers. I thought I’d be ok bc don’t use cc to pay only normal cash bpay/ transfer ? They suggest being hyper vigilant ..

  • Pezzamystic1 Pez (@Pezzamystic1) reported

@themathendo As a long term @Optus customer affected by "Breach" I smell a class action in the wind. My smartphone has better security. Optus employees now won't do anything over their chat line, they refer you to a store in person.

  • zinifax Christopher Prince (@zinifax) reported

@lucymdonoghue @9NewsMelb Not possible unless government issues another identifier. Hackers have a suite. Optus should have never collected all that they did and it was illegal.

  • PeterNg45087505 Peter Nguyen (@PeterNg45087505) reported

@Acting_Alone @Optus Yep no compensation. help yourselves as well no protection and due diligence. Everything they are doing is damage control. The care they got for consumers is non existent.

  • GavinWakeupint1 Gavilarr 🍸☮️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🖤💛❤️ (@GavinWakeupint1) reported

So @optus are disconnecting people when you lodge a complaint on live chat. As soon as you lodge a complaint and ask pointed questions they disconnect you. 4 times now. I'm done with @Optus

  • bazscott Baz Scott (@bazscott) reported

@fletch371 @Optus Sad = criminal. A breach in such a stupid fashion should result in fines so harsh it sinks the company. Strong deterrent is the only way these companies will take their obligations seriously.
