@Burgo0806 @me_dc @HullKiwi Yes you can apply to have your licence number changed. You have to fill out a form and go to a service NSW centre. Also take the email from Optus with you.

@Optus should be paying for 24 months of credit monitoring for every customer affected by their incompetence which led to the data breach. At bare minimum they should be doing this for the 2.8M who had their DL/passport numbers leaked #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach #optusfail

I was using the Optus network as a Virgin customer until they folded, but I switched to Telstra despite Virgin customer being recommended to join Optus, meaning that non-Optus customers have also been caught up if they've used the network through another provider.

@JethroHeller @Optus Well you can certainly expect ZERO information or support from Optus. You can expect to be hung up on after sitting on hold to them to try to obtain any information also.

@MorawetzTom Passwords are not the major issue. You personal details such as Name Address Drivers licence ID Passport ID Birth date Etc are the serious issue for every @optus account holder.
