@Jeremy_Kirk I love that everyone is angry at Optus for being hacked, but not at the complete ******* who stole our information and is extorting a company with it. I hope they find this person, they're exposed and their life is ruined.

So let me get this straight - there is seriously going to be NO HELP in changing our DLs until after we have been victims of identity theft? Right. Good to know. Thanks for nothing #OptusHack @TMRQld @Optus

@Optus Price match guarantee huh? I hit you up a week back about being a long serving customer (since 2008) and you still wouldn’t offer a discount. Here we are today and you’ve lost all my personal data and offering this ****. Good bye Optus.

@karlstefanovic going the full populist tabloid outrage on @TheTodayShow this morning. Settle petal, you ain't helping. Signed, An Optus customer.

@Optus @RunnerSA18 So an @Optus API was left open for the world wide web to treat themselves to my details incl drivers licence and Medicare card. Quit the "sophisticated attack" line being spun in the media. Please confirm if my details are amongst the 10k released this morning for everyone tosee?

  • morecruises LL (@morecruises) reported

@newscomauHQ All the media today is how Optus should be sued. Do we blame a bank manager when it may be robbed. What about the store keeper do we blame them. No matter how much security you have criminals are the issue. Catch them rather than do the Aussie blame game

  • ServiceNSW Service NSW (@ServiceNSW) reported

@SWF_946 Hi SWF_946, ID Support NSW is working with Optus to support customers with NSW government-issued credentials, if they have been impacted. Affected customers who need to replace documents can contact the ID Support NSW team on 1800 001 040 from Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm).

@TheTodayShow Optus should provide every single customer compensation towards time and process to change all legal documents to safe guard their personal information going forward

@9NewsAUS This Optus hack was a by-product of using poor quality, poorly trained offshoring application development resources from India & major cost cutting of project mgrmnt, testing & governance. This a warning to all Australian companies that outsource @karlstefanovic @SevenNetwork
