@SenPaterson @Birmo Well maybe they should get reimbursed by Optus the same way the good citizens of NSW have to do when they replace their drivers licence. Or maybe you should be demanding Dom pay for that if your view is that this is governments problem #hypocrites #auspol

@AnimaeOK @slsandpet Just b cause they weren't required to doesn't mean they shouldn't have failed to do the testing. It shows a serious lack of cyber security as a concern for @Optus which is ironic given their status as a Telco dealing with cyber security issues.

@berthon_jones I worked at Telstra. We had (some) customer data in dev/test environments (which is where the Optus leak occurred) There is chronic underinvestment in data masking for development environments... In many large orgs.
