Operation Guardian by Oz police to protect 10K compromised Optus customer IDs coz 100 points of ID exposed. Let’s also raise ID reqts to include 1 xtra document? So, 125+ points not 100. Quick to do, comforts those affected and minor inconvenience to the rest #AFP .@ClareONeilMP

... that I had to cancel with their partner (Disney). So, folks, how in God's name is Optus going to harden up its cybersecurity operation when they cannot (or will not) cancel a service (me, the customer) no longer wanted. .....

@karenandrewsmp Optus has the call Karen. Last heard the minister had waited days for requested data from Optus which had not been then provided. Stop defending your mates at Optus. Worst telco in Australia before this happened. Now....

@hardenuppete @joshgnosis Has it ever been part of the Big Four business model to criticise the hand that feeds it? Never I suggest. An Optus/Deloitte joint workshopped response is the best we will get. Same with audits of government work. No anomalies ever found except by agreement?

@grissomsladybug Spent the weekend trying to register with Equifax, nothing but problems. Went to the Optus shop today, told we can’t help you. I said I want that in writing. They helped me, now signed up for a year!

@SallyLawry @karenandrewsmp Alas not fixable. The then Minister for Communications Fletcher lowered standards for security and here we are. Damage done. Optus and the former LNP government need to make a public apology to the customer base while they sue.

@ClareONeilMP NSW is not allowing victims of the Optus data leak to change drivers license unless you can prove you are a victim of a case of identity theft. By then it's too late & the damage has been done. Why aren't they allowing all those who were affected, to change their license? #auspol

BTW, I'm writing this not only as an ex Optus customer, but also as someone who gets paid good money to write this sort of stuff. Other experts I've seen and heard on TV and radio have been much more forgiving of the company. Obvs, they have skin in the game. I don't.
