Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • doleritejack Chris Stewart (@doleritejack) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk For West Australian Optus customers there is an even more serious issue here. WA is the only State in Oz where a Drivers Licence number cannot be changed if applying for a replacement. ID fraud can therefore go on forever. This hapnd to my DiL.

  • pobjoy5 pobjoy (@pobjoy5) reported

@winsordobbin @RonniSalt @Optus The entire organisation is a hopeless joke. Doesn't anyone have a problem with foreign interests owning and controlling a significant portion of our comms infrastructure? Their MO may be fine for Singapore. Not here. Throw them out. #floptus

  • ServiceNSW Service NSW (@ServiceNSW) reported

@Maurice96987074 Hi Maurice, ID Support NSW is working with Optus to support customers whose NSW government-issued credentials may have been impacted. Customers who may have been affected and need to replace documents can call the ID Support NSW team on 1800 001 040 - Mon to Fri (9am to 5pm).

  • misskinmelbs Krissie ❤️🌈 (@misskinmelbs) reported

@RonniSalt @Optus Beside a generic email I have no more information. Surely they can advise what details of mine were leaked. It’s so frustrating. I just had to cancel my Amex and debit card I used for payments.

  • cheap5suit Frankie (@cheap5suit) reported

@Wiz_Of_Oz2 @Bunnings They're busy trying to help Optus with their cyber security, please try again later.

  • RupertsConscie1 Rupert's Conscience (@RupertsConscie1) reported

@RonniSalt @Optus Optus has always been badly run. I was a customer years ago. The person I called to complain about numerous issues was unhelpful and basically told me to leave and go to Telstra. So I did.

  • YoSpecc GLM Spec (@YoSpecc) reported

Simone at work has just told me about this Optus breach, I didn’t even know it happend, **** is soo scary

  • Jeremy_Kirk Jeremy Kirk (@Jeremy_Kirk) reported

Does anyone know if Optus has a vulnerability disclosure program or a bug bounty program? The Optus hacker claims they might have reported the API security problem if Optus was easier to contact.

  • baradhili PICSI.co (@baradhili) reported

@joshgnosis yup... +1 Optus was telling people quickly.. -100 They plonked the API on the net with apparently no protection (or review?) "Security through obscurity" absolutely doesn't work

  • arls68 Arls (@arls68) reported

@EthanBowmannn @Jeremy_Kirk Looks like they won’t have to pay anything. Damage to Optus and those whose data was released is done but they no longer want a ransom
