@Zadimum63 @hughriminton I canceled my optus account years ago after being lied to face to face in a store. Still worried they kept my data, & allowed it to be hacked, but I got no contact. For you, don't forget another telco can take over your number if optus refuse to help.

@Jeremy_Kirk have you heard anything re: Optus prepaid customers? I used to be on Optus as a prepaid customer, no email was needed, but gave passport # for verification. I have not heard a peep from Optus as they don't have my email, and I can't log in as I'm no longer with Optus. Crazy.

@notbelinda I thought the same but I saw someone say they contacted Optus who told them an email was sent to them on 24/9 and they never received it

The staff you call at Optus are being inundated with calls from angry customers. They get why you're angry (they've been breached too). Please be kind to the person on the other end of the line - they're doing everything they can to help. #optus #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach

@mymateshouse Paul Fletcher was aware of user data breach not only by Optus but all Australia mobile network operators having call centres located overseas India and Philippines where user data easily accessed and bought. Paul Fletcher did nothing why??

@janine_hendry @hughriminton We left Optus in 2006 - trying to get someone anyone in Optus to cancel our account was like a comedy skit - good luck Janine & PS during the black summer fires Telstra was the only carrier still working
