  • GioAgo2 Gio Ago (@GioAgo2) reported

@michellegrattan @michellegrattan Why no mention at all about the Transport For NSW (Services NSW) data breach that caused untold grief yet noone was told for two years. After the damage was already done. No lessons learned. The Optus breach might have been avoided.

  • immsollawyers (((Anne ODonoghue))) (@immsollawyers) reported from Bundanoon, State of New South Wales

Optus data breach . Must apologise and fix it properly @SkyNewsRicho

  • RassieInOZ RassieInOZ 💉💉💉 (@RassieInOZ) reported

@chrissmithonair Like you and others I also want Optus to do the right thing Remember they were hacked (broken into & info stolen) they didn't sell or share it They should have taken more care, but you now want them to hand over private information to government without concent

  • wonkydoc Antony Bolton 🇺🇦🇬🇧🇦🇺🇪🇺🏳️‍🌈 (@wonkydoc) reported

WTF @Optus, you're only just telling me 10 days down the line that my data has been hacked? #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach #SackOptus

  • sean_batt Not piloted, actually (@sean_batt) reported

@MoarToast Sorry, drivers licence. It will have a licence number and a card number that the DVS uses to "validate" it as an identity document. Because "only" your licence number was exposed, Optus isn't going to recommend (or pay for) a new licence. Bare minimum support from Optus as usual.

  • ALM00088 ALM (@ALM00088) reported

@Optus @RunnerSA18 This is down to Optus and as a customer that has been advised that I have been compromised I am entitled to more than a cursory email that basically washes Optus’ hands of any further responsibility!

  • Poupon123 Kym (@Poupon123) reported

Seriously just right now got a message from OPTUS…. Saying my license number had been compromised… Exceptional service… but assure me my bank account details are secure… yeah right.

  • tg_greg TG (@tg_greg) reported

@sean_batt @MoarToast Ok that interesting. Sort of a double check. In Australia to my knowledge your DL number stays with you for life. If your DL number data has been stolen it means every customer needs a new DL number and thus a new card number as well. Optus and will weasel out of this if they can

  • AdHominum Adrian (@AdHominum) reported

@CopperbeardTom That sucks man. I swapped to optical a couple of months ago after years of inner west pain (old infrastructure), and it’s been great, but doesn’t help you. Hope Optus can sort it out.

  • Philssay Question (@Philssay) reported

Marles said on insiders that optus treat personal info as an asset. What about ID required for mygov or centerlink. The network of private information ,bank accounts, medical and addresses that they have. Why is it OK for the govt to have All this data but not optus.
