The Optus data breach has led many helpless to ask this question. If my passport, drivers license numbers are compromised, how can new ones be issued without huge personal cost and inconvenience? This is big issue that government departments can help address @ausgov

@MattSainsb @Optus What? So the hackers had enough details to get a spare sim and get your number on it? That's horrible.

Everyone at work is freaking out about the Optus hack. If Optus hasn’t contacted you (even if a former customer) does that mean you’re okay?

Have they missed me? I'm an Optus customer for several linked services. Three days have passed. I have not received an email from Optus re the theft (actually, unapproved copying) of my personal data from their files and what I should do now. What next?

@ClareONeilMP Why isn’t the Optus chief standing down? CEO’s shouldn’t be treated any differently to male CEO’s when they have underperformed. Do women really want true equality, or just where it suits?

@corruptagenda @LennaLeprena @Optus The problem being if you pay people ridiculous amounts of money, they will spend their time investing that money rather than doing their job.

@sunriseon7 I am not happy as a optus customer. There is should be a class action against the company by all concerned.

People will leave @Optus for their response to the data breach and not the breach itself. Just like QANTAS, Optus is putting too much ownership to deal with this on their customers. Aussie companies need to get better at customer service.

@ramblingivy22 @ClareONeilMP I received an email last night. I have no mob phone with Optus only landine and internet. Have never provided sensitive info, not much they can do with name address and landline phone number.

At the end of the day, as an @optus customer, I am left alone now to fend for myself against identity theft, it is colossal failure, the leadership team at Optus should resign silently, the aus IT industry is full of useless faces @acccgovau #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach #optusfail
