  • AlexHolderDev Alex Holder (@AlexHolderDev) reported

    @Jeremy_Kirk I can generate data from the Optus customer-logged-in endpoint and see that converting my phone number to SHA-256 matches the "hashedPhone" value. Same for the unlucky customer records leaked so far. And worse still: the actual ID doc values weren't hashed at all.

  • jayfeltulabing Jayfel Tulabing-Lee (@jayfeltulabing) reported

    Optus hacker wanting $1M for customer info is like well sis that barely gets you a 2bdr house in Newtown

  • tezzr44 Tezzr44 (@tezzr44) reported

    @ClareONeilMP The PM of Singapore health records where hacked and given to the media. The same Singapore state owned company is Optus in Australia. Massive fail on security again. Optus need to be fined for a huge amount of money somewhere between 9 & 11 million Australians privacy breached

    This @Optus **** is getting messier and messier by the day What the hell are they gunna do about it besides warning us not to click any links and offering us 12 months free fraud protection??? In 2022, this is just not good enough and should never have even happened

  • EvolvedChimp_ Antony (@EvolvedChimp_) reported

    @Fastlane76 @Optus Mate, I had this same issue a few months back trying to login to the mobile app. The data breach didn't occur a few days ago, this happened months ago. Lies upon lies upon lies from Optus.

  • naderomg Terminator (@naderomg) reported

    @Optus @RunnerSA18 They have left this way too late, the CEO needs to step down now. This is what happens when you have a foreign owned company called Singtel who manage and run their IT, they do not know what they are doing.

  • CricketnBeer Aaaarrggh not you again. (@CricketnBeer) reported

    Optus in damage control, they dropped their guard.

  • Blazer55 Screen (@Blazer55) reported

    @9NewsAUS The female CEO of @Optus should never have been appointed. She is way out of her league. She cannot cry her way out of this one!

  • Fernby Fernby Films (@Fernby) reported

    @HelpRefugeesOZ @Optus Ooffff. That’s terrible.

  • sanguinocorpus thebradthomas (@sanguinocorpus) reported

    @BecL87 @Optus Huge fail.
