@10NewsFirst @hughriminton NSW state government is not helping. I went to Service NSW today to change my driver license as it has been compromised. I completed all the requirements, but they have been told that Transport NSW said NO for compromised Optus customers.

@_sara_jade_ I received a text from "Optus" noticing that my internet was down. Used my first name, gave links to click to tell me how to remedy this. Not happened before - deleted text, turned modem off and on - all good. This was the day news broke about the data theft.

@ClareONeilMP Obviously Optus shares blame for terrible security, but we have to expect that breeches will continue to happen. It’s only when we massively limit what data companies are allowed to keep that we have any kind of safety. I like the saying “Data is the new asbestos”

@VictorDominello Can we be more specific about "coming days"? Optus have refused to provide any detailed information to date. Why do we suddenly expect them to start moving?Why not force them to commit to a certain date? People need certainty. Optus and Service NSW have treated people abhorently.

@BridgeMuir I would love to see another precedent and that is for optus customers who are affected to be able to cancel contract and switch to a new provider without cancellation fee

@governorgaz The **** customer service, over inflated prices and general contempt they hold for customers does have at least the one reward of not being Optus customers. Still despise them though.

@NewtonMark @Optus Honestly feel like the bar on who gets the reimbursement (and no doubt without a “hassle” cost) will be the next contentious issue for Optus.
