@Optus sucks and the #OptusDataBreach is terrible. However, I’m sure there are hundreds of other large Aussie companies scrambling around right now asking “can this happen to us?” after spending the last few years decrying the need for Cyber Security.

@ShiannonC I fail to see how a multi national communications companies problem can be the governments fault. When does Optus take control of its own doing

Eldest got the Optus email today. She has never had an Optus account but did live in a group house that applied for Optis internet (which was never installed). She was not the person who applied for the internet account #OptusHack 1/2

@AmyRemeikis Loads of people I know still haven't received their email. Sounds like Optus is trying to limit potential damage as these emails constitute evidence.

Sucks if you're an Optus customer who had their info leaked.

I think we got it wrong - Hacker(s) made a #cybersecurity attack on @Optus but we're purely penalising the company. I get it that our data is their responsibility to keep safe but so far the media makes it feel like we're not focusing on hunting down the actual perpetrator(s)

@AmyRemeikis I left Optus in May and haven’t heard a thing. Not sure if that’s good or bad.
