@gomeroz1 @redruby17 @Optus We were discussing this today? Is it really breaking and entering when you left the front door open through complete negligence, stupidity and more disturbingly complacency. basically what Optus has done.i have never been so appalled at an organisations disrespect of customer data

  • DrStrangeLoveDX Dr. Strangelove (@DrStrangeLoveDX) reported

@clinicallymanic @bugwannostra @Optus After a few polite but firm messages to express my “disappointment”, the calls stopped. They know how to fix that, but they’re just stingy/lazy.

  • AusGovSlave AusGovSlave (@AusGovSlave) reported

@byronkaye Well it's much effort when optus leaves the door open. 1M not bad payday for visiting a url.

  • AusGovSlave AusGovSlave (@AusGovSlave) reported

@byronkaye 1M is not a bad payday for visiting a URL. I bet it costs Optus a lot more than that.

  • Amoykateer247 Sir_Waffle_Stomp (@Amoykateer247) reported

@ChrisLMiddleton I'm with optus.. and so is my missus..i told her we should tell them to buy us a new phone and cancel our contract

  • UrbanWronski Urban Wronski (@UrbanWronski) reported

    2. The post casts doubt on Optus official damage control, earlier today of "up to nine million people" affected.

  • jeannebean360 -J- (@jeannebean360) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk So far the presso indicates that it is via an API that the hackers gained entry. Not sure who #Optus provider is, & the poor bloke who wrote that API #OptusHack

  • SB_Recruitment Scott Brown (@SB_Recruitment) reported

Terrible customer service, consistent delays in doing rudimentary jobs, yet not a moment's delay if bills are a fraction late in payment and now a breach of our data due to a stupid test program gone live. @Optus really are the worst telco provider in this country.

  • BigunitGrant Grant D (@BigunitGrant) reported

@relyimah @Optus Yep, it’s SO disappointing. Worst part is that I have no idea what trouble lies ahead, or when it’ll surface. During a 40 year career in banking I learned how important it is to safeguard personal information. Now this happens #optusfail

  • UrbanWronski Urban Wronski (@UrbanWronski) reported

“The AFP is aware of reports alleging stolen Optus customer data and credentials may be being sold through a number of forums, including the dark web,” they said.
