@SquizzSTK To be fair, it was Optus’ **** up. They’re a private business who by accident or incompetence, compromised millions of peoples data. They have insurance and Optus should pay for the passports - about $300 each.

If you were an Optus customer years ago but haven’t heard from them, does that mean you’re OK? How does that fit with people who’ve changed their contact details since then?? 🧐🤨 #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach

@ShiannonC I fail to see how a multi national communications companies problem can be the governments fault. When does Optus take control of its own doing

@AmyRemeikis Loads of people I know still haven't received their email. Sounds like Optus is trying to limit potential damage as these emails constitute evidence.

Eldest got the Optus email today. She has never had an Optus account but did live in a group house that applied for Optis internet (which was never installed). She was not the person who applied for the internet account #OptusHack 1/2

@YallopDiana @Optus UCCO! I remember that! I actually ended up in the uniting care network myself a few years plats ASU, as CEO of Hotham MissionAsylum Seeker Project, which then was merged with (then) Lentara and subsequently into the bigger Vic uniting care merger.

@AmyRemeikis The plus side to this is apparently Optus is sending the message to those people that have had the most data exposed first and then others that have had less exposed. I got my message on Saturday but no information about which data was of mine is a problem.
