if I were an optus customer I’d be doing everything I can to help sue ******** out of them. That amount of private information being leaked is abysmal.

So, I'm thinking it will be cheaper for them (since they're footing the bill) if @Optus discloses to each affected customer which identity documents they have stored for customers. Do I need a new Medicare card or license? Or passport? I can't remember what I used! #auspol

@Zadimum63 @hughriminton I canceled my optus account years ago after being lied to face to face in a store. Still worried they kept my data, & allowed it to be hacked, but I got no contact. For you, don't forget another telco can take over your number if optus refuse to help.

@SkyNewsAust That’s interesting @sbxr…. You used to personally own an ISP (internet service provider) like Optus. How did you have any customers if you didn’t have their names, addresses & contact details? Given it’s your “mantra” why were you comfortable in taking those details? Hypocrite!

@droverdriver61 I had an email saying I was but can't get any answers as to what particularly. Tried again today and was told by the (poor soul) on the other end of the chat not to worry that Optus were "onto it".
