@BernardSheppard @Optus travelling for work this week so unable to spend time on hold chatting to them....thinking next step is to provacy commission/ombudsman etc. My credit check ban is now in place. Saw Minister on @abc730 tonight say Optus offer of free security watch service was not sufficient...

  • OUSAK OUSAK (@OUSAK) reported

@troyhunt Should Optus feed in all their customer email addresses into hibp? Or is that a violation of privacy, versus waiting for it to show up on the (dark) web first (eventually)?

  • SydneyEditor1 Verushka, an editor (@SydneyEditor1) reported

@divabooknerd @Optus Me either, and i only became a customer within the last 2-3 years. I messaged them to ask of my details had been compromised and they won’t say if my deets have been compromised but listed what was taken in the hack and its enough to gain access to ither stuff imo

  • luvmygoose Black Jacket - Sewer rat, union thug. (@luvmygoose) reported

@RNBreakfast @karenandrewsmp My data was leaked by Optus, I've been getting huge amounts is spam email for past 2 days, the damage has already started!!!

  • rustedon1962 TeeBee (@rustedon1962) reported

Damn you @Optus ... How the bloody hell did you leave an API gateway open? This wasn't a hack. This was an open for inspection. Thanks for letting me know our info has been swiped. So who else got notified??? #optusfail #OptusClassAction

  • fitscienceaus Rezill (@fitscienceaus) reported

@Optus @RunnerSA18 @Optus I have changed my email and phone number since I was with you. How can I check if my info has been compromised? Your service department won’t talk to me without a current Optus phone number or account.

  • benschued Ben (@benschued) reported

@joshgnosis I’m going to have an amazing network experience now Optus is gonna loose so many customers. I may be the only one left, congestion free! 👌

  • OneAussieChick Aussie Chick (@OneAussieChick) reported

@VicRoads - why can't you cancel and reissue the drivers licenses of hacked Optus customers that want to do this? We are at high risk of identity theft and you won't help us mitigate this until it's to late. @BenCarrollMP

  • clothedvillainy Demon King of Unserious Dicta (@clothedvillainy) reported

What sucks is that Optus customers had their data stolen, then Optus customers effectively pay for the fine…

  • kcfromaustcrime Karen Chisholm (@kcfromaustcrime) reported

Nearly 40 years in the IT industry & I've seen a lot of bullshit distributed by oscillating devices but this "sophisticated attack" crap from Optus is outrageous.
