@SeaforthBen It's amazing that they're keeping data on people that don't even remember being an Optus customer.

@nicenuts @Optus They were signing up to account, gave an ABN, was processing the order until the customer said that wasn't his name and they they all just laughed.

Almost 10 years since I was an @Optus customer, how dare they still have my identifiable (although very out of date) info. Very disconcerting.

@Live_Animation_ @mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews That's very interesting. Optus support staff didn't give me the option of directing MFA to email when I was attempting to secure my account. They mentioned Mastercard by ID for certain purchases but that requires a face photo. With their track record, probably best avoided.

.@optus staff are a joke. Customers are signing up and staff are laughing that they are looking at someone else account. They obviously don't give a ****.

Four hours later and was told nothing had didn’t already know. Looks like it’s off the Service NSW and see what they can do cause Optus was no help at all which isn’t surprising

@AngelComrade Expect more scam calls pretending to be from Optus. Their script now has more credibility with claiming hackers have hacked the network. People can easily be fooled now. Hang up and call Optus directly.

@Qldaah @Optus should pay EVERY customer compensation for this breach...
