@DuffmanGay @LesStonehouse @Optus Exactly. I'm with Telstra personally and have been luckier than most, but correct. The providers have an obligation to fix the issues/replacements with their provided equipment, be it a router, home phone or fetch box. If it is not your own router, it's Optus' cost.

@LesStonehouse @Optus my mobile with "Amazin" via Optus! terrible service cut out middle important phone calls! Landline NBN internet with Westnet years!after lot investigation found signal was being blocked between their repeater my house(regional) changed service to "Boost"(Telstra) excellent!

@CharlizeTheroff @LesStonehouse @Optus Years ago, a phone was a phone. Simple. Now it's service providers, plans, and a potentially interupted service when your power goes out. Now you can't even ring the power company if you don't have a mobile.
