@carolduncan Dominello raised this the other day. Any holder of your personal data does not want to login and pay your bills. They want your name, address and license number to create a new Carol Duncan. Disgusting, ongoing lack of understanding or empathy from NSW Govt and Optus.

As if the Optus debacle isn't bad enough without government adding to it, I'll summarise where we're at now. @ClareONeilMP told us she didn't have the right laws to work with, later adding she had no specific laws she'd inact. Today we learn it's easier to blame Optus

@JayeAntonio @Optus Cancel your plan and pay out your device/accessories/etc. People need to vote with their feet and head for the exits.

@VictorDominello 2/3 Given the breach might of been prior to the mandate of enforcing both LNum and DNum, should it not be prudent to assume the worst and allow replacement of all card holders notified by Optus even if it was only DNum leaked?

Just tried talking to @Optus "customer care". Utterly useless. Only generic information about the data hack. Then, didn't have a clue about the Profile page on the Optus account page (with which there is a functionality problem). Get some people IN AUSTRALIA, Optus.

@trevorlong I was an Optus customer last year. Finally received an email that my drivers license number was exposed. Even though the email states”we recently communicated with you…” - this is the first email I’ve received from Optus 🙄

@carolduncan Which is all well and good, but I spoke to a Service NSW person at the weekend who said, YES definitely replace your licence. Not sure I trust Optus.....?

@chiman321 @Optus I think you were wise, l have had to provide my licence number a few times on-line - never been asked for the card number.

Every day, mainstream media asks LNP MPs for input on Optus crisis. No problem with that. But, as soon as any LNP MP says: Govt as too slow to act, not one journo says: Hold on! LNP was Govt for past 9 yrs. Why did LNP Govts not ensure AUS Privacy Legislation kept data safe?

@shanebazzi Clear as mud - thanks Optus. How can they get away with such inconsistent and **** comms? This happened nearly two weeks ago!
