  • charlietech Charlie (@charlietech) reported

Former @Optus customer that left after 2017. No email or sms yet. I am also a customer of 3 different Optus MVNOs but they are not impacted.

  • Granville4879 💉💉💉💉 Granville in FNQ 😷 (@Granville4879) reported

@Neopseudo And, I'm guessing, Optus is in the top five in providing secure customer service?

  • gachetbietdi Duc Tien Tran (@gachetbietdi) reported

@Stone2541 @Optus @ARealJourno If you don't use the email Optus provides and use free mail service like Gmail or Hotmail, then you pretty much on your own.

  • betheworrall bethworrall 🇺🇦 (@betheworrall) reported

@kcarruthers @Optus I'm no expert but here's how I'd manage this 1. Provide a genuine apology 2. Establish a dedicated customer support team office - with dedicated comms - ASAP 3. Never pass blame on a single individual - make an early commitment to overhauling culture on privacy

  • leighbentley 💧 Leigh Bentley (@leighbentley) reported

@StephenJonesMP It's a bit late now...the data is out there. Cancelling my Optus service is pointless. Someone/everyone on the dark web knows my name, home address, email, mobile phone number etc etc Do I have to sell my house now to avoid my identity being stolen?

  • troyhunt Troy Hunt (@troyhunt) reported

We also should ask why Optus needed to acquire *and* retain identity data of this nature in the first place. To get a SIM card? Sure, but then why the long term retention of that data once identity has been established? Was it worth the problem we now have?

  • jodiehastweeted Jodie (@jodiehastweeted) reported

@LordSoth123 I can’t even delete mine. I’ve tried. It just gives me an error message. And no one at @Optus can help me apparently…!!!! The way they are handling all of this is disgraceful.

  • terry_legg 💧Terry Legg 🌏🌱🐀 (@terry_legg) reported

@SandyHorne61 see if Optus hired these, they would not have lost customer data, either

  • iamjinaldagli Jinal Dagli (@iamjinaldagli) reported

@Optus hey Optus I am unable to get through your call center to move service. Therefore I have decided to deactivate the service. Agents put us on hold randomly and disconnect. This is frustrating

  • becjh_35 Bec 🏴🏳️🏴 (@becjh_35) reported

So @VicRoads are you accepting driver licence cancellations and re-issues for those affected by the @optus data breach?
