Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • CarltonBree Bree Carlton (@CarltonBree) reported

@somewherein84 ****** about the abandonment of a public health response to Covid. What next? No PCRs? And Optus data hack well I’ve had trouble sleeping since that all kicked off 🤯🤯🤯😭

  • sunsetriver88 Jax (@sunsetriver88) reported

@xnailbunnyx @Optus On finally hearing back from my complaint, I have learnt their other email details weren't correct either. My email did not mention phone or address details were compromised, but apparently they were 😠

  • arthacket Art Hackett (@arthacket) reported

@TonyIKnow @Optus Big, major compensation for another ***********, providing warning to other bastards that leak/lose data they should never be storing.

  • SzilviaVirag Szilvia 🇦🇺🇭🇺😷💉💉💉💉🐕📷⌨️ (@SzilviaVirag) reported

Sick people not isolating, 75% of Australia (Optus customers past &present) being forced to get new photos for their drivers licenses etc to help them get sick &banned masks because of the supposed Optus data breach to help everyone die. That's where this is going.

  • Makucha Jo (@Makucha) reported

@KodaJamesCurtis @Optus Their contact centre is the absolute pits even at the best of times. Rude, uninformed and understaffed. But then I guess @Optus chose to go with the budget model. I’ve given up with them - will try to get to a shop instead.

  • 0xThylacine some1 somewhere (@0xThylacine) reported

For my circumstances, the optus breach couldn’t have happened at a better time. It got the whole country focussed on the bad idea of collecting id data and giving it to just anyone with zero care or oversight. Pity it wasn’t back in March though.

  • sunsetriver88 Jax (@sunsetriver88) reported

@ClareONeilMP Via complaint, I've discovered the email sent to me wasn't correct; Optus missed fields of data that were compromised (eg street address & phone) out of my list. I think it is important the Oz population are aware even those email details may be incorrect. Where can I raise this?

  • sunsetriver88 Jax (@sunsetriver88) reported

@Natalee00449668 @Optus Worse, I finally had someone from Optus complaints get back to me, and the email they sent wasn't even correct. It did not advise my address or phone had been compromised. Apparently both were. I find this out today, only because of my complaint. Not happy, Jan.

  • rampantred Helen West (@rampantred) reported

A week of frustration with very poor customer support from @Optus (no surprises), @alintaenergy and @RexAirlines. Do better you bastards.

  • acmadotgov ACMA (@acmadotgov) reported

@NewtonMark @Optus Hi Mark, up until March 2022 the webpage featured information relating to the rules for verifying identity of purchasers, which vary depending on the method of payment and number of mobile services activated in the customer’s name. 1/2
